I would love to have "Recent Projects" in the Discover menu much like
the "Recent Workbooks" in Excel. I know that I can mimic that on my own
by doing File > Open Project and then sorting by "Date Modified" but I
would still like that a few clicks sooner.
If you right click on the cell below the header. A5 in this case, you
will see "Copy Request" if you then select a new cell and right click,
there is a "Paste Request." Is that what you are looking for? It works
between worksheets. I have not tried it between Excel files.
I really love Discover 3, however the reverse color scheme causes
serious eye strain. I found that I got a serious headache only with in a
couple of hours. I like the slick look, but could the color scheme just
be reversed back to be charcole on white rather than white on charcole?
It's cool to be able to say "this is where people went from here." The
next obvious question is "so what? do they end up micro or macro
converting?" Though it's nice that Orders Participation, Revenue
Participation and Visitors are hidden in the copy/paste of the Next and
Previous Pages Report in Discover. It would be really great to be able
to pick which metrics are featured. It doesn't really matter to me if
this functionality is in SiteCatalyst or Discover.
It would be nice to be able to evaluate how much "damage" would be done
by filtering out the bot traffic. I'm also guessing that some people may
not want to exclude it from all of their traffic but would like to use
the filter in specific analyses. I would like to have it be a report
and/or an Omniture-endorsed segment.
As we start to look at more customer based interactions, cross-session
pathing becomes more and more important for s.props. I would love to see
the option to have the ability to have cross-session pathing based on
the vistor ID with an expiration setting just like an evar.
It would be great to have the ability to set a default metric other than
"All Visits (No Segment)." It would be nice to have our SEO only look at
Visits that came from SEO, by default. Same for the person in charge of
email and SEM and such. There are plenty of applications I'm sure and I
wouldn't think it would be too difficult to implement.
It would be great to be able to use multiple segments at once. Many
times I will have a segment based on page type and another based on
device type. It would be awesome to be able to apply them both to the
same report in an "AND" function. If you want to be fancy, it would be
great if we could choose if we want it to be an "AND" or and "OR." This
would of course require the backend ability to create a segment with
AND's and OR's which is also a much needed improvement.
