Yes, please. Just discovered this myself after working out a farily large project. The breakdowns should be positional, ie, if I breakdown the first 5 items X 3 each, no matter what those items are, I want to always see items 1-5 broken down 1-3.

Allow Last-Year-to-Date in Analysys Workspace date range manager -- that excludes "today"
Avatar

normcloutier8

- Adobe Analytics
Short version of this request: Add 366 as an option in "days minus" of date manager. Why? If you want to build a YTD comparison for last year and this year, you are forced to include "today" a year ago -- which will be a full 24 hours -- and "today" this year, which may be far less than a full day. Ideally, I would want a YTD that excludes "today" which is easy to build for the current year, but impossible for the previous year. Model now for LAST Year-to-date: Setting this rolling timeframe on ...

Perhaps you are just talking about v15? In v14, where we still live, there is simply "left" and "right" columns, not "current" and "comparison," and the fomula is just fine, provided you put the earlier time period in the left/first column.-- Norm

NancyK: The formula for %change is (new - old)/old. That's the way it is now in Omniture and always should be. You need to just put OLD in the first column -- always. Otherwise it makes no sense. Time is a necessary component of change, so it should always follow the old-then-new presentation order. You seem to be treating percent change a bit like it's percent difference. The latter has no relationship to time. (In your formula, I have no idea why you would divide any time period by istelf) I a...

I'm sorry, but with a year+ ahead in rollouts for V15, you can't start fixing things in JUST V15. The same repairs/features need to be added to the current version of the product.

Trended reportlets need to retain "Top 5" across suites
Avatar

Build a dashboard and include any trended reportlet. When you push/publish/share it across suites you would think it retains either the default "Top 5" or keeps the "User selected" entries depending on what you built. It doesn't. If you used the default top 5, it will convert the reportlet to "User selected" and carry those specific values to any new report suite. Why does it matter? Say you have 30+ suites and you want to trend the top 5 channels in a reportlet for several markets. In Miami the ...

One "Mobile" metric/report, with % of total site traffic

I know there are a few ideas posted around mobile, and a couple reference this need, but I wanted to add one that focuses on this key element: Detail is good -- by OS/Device/Manufacturer -- but we also need to look at mobile as a single group to easily track it's growth. Given the current SiteCatalyst report structure, it looks like this would require another Mobile report, structured much like the "Site Metrics" reports. In any event, I would like to have easy access in SC, ReportBuilder and Di...

This looks like an excellent solution. Can I assume that clicking the link effectively logs off the administrator and logs them in as the user until they log off again?

Add basic % of visits to Page Summary Report
Avatar

normcloutier8

normcloutier8
- Adobe Analytics
Page Summary is a great little report, but it's missing a basic and critical piece for us: How many visits included that page. It tells you how many started there, and how many ended there, but not how many simply went there. It's easy enough to get by adding "visits" to the page name report, but the detailed path analysis of the Page Summary leaves out that key metric -- a baseline for determining the relevance of the rest of the data to your overall business. Should be easy enough to fix.

At least triple the number of report schedules available in ReportBuilder
Avatar

ReportBuilder is an excellent tool for distributing sophisticated reports you just can't replicate in Catalyst, but it's limited to allow a maximum of 10 scheduled reports per account. That's just too few. I also had to use two slots because the system would not let me both FTP and email the same report on the same schedule. The FTP works but the email never arrives.

Show account creation date when no log-in date in Admin User UI
Avatar

With 300 plus users we often look in to check the least active ccounts. Trouble is, we have no date info on accounts that heve not never been logged into. Was it created last month or last year? An easy fix: If there is no last-login data, how about showing "New: " followed by the account creation date. No time is necessary, so that would help keep the column width the same.

Wow. I didn't even know this was an topion. You have just made my admin life wayyyy easier. It will be easier still if Omniture adopts this idea and makes the message more apparent/clear to the end users as you suggest. Here's another option: Upon lockout, the system could automatically generate the reset email to the username's address if it matches a username in the sysetm.

So it's there, now, great, and THANKS! But when I correlate to the referring domains, instead of a "breakdown" of social I see ALL domains? Where can I go to find what Omniture considers social domains? Also: Since this was basically a classification of domains, why is it only available moving forward? I mean, the classification should be applied to referrals going back at least a year so we can trend the data.

Please fix, remove or red-flag the Mobile Visits metric
Avatar

For major devices like the Iphone/pad, the Mobile Visits number is several orders of magnitude smaller than the Mobile Daily UVs. More visitors than visits is impossible, so there's obviously an issue. If it can't be resolved, this metric should be removed or at least red-flagged so as not to confuse users.

Let admins push reportlets from limited-access suites to all users
Avatar

normcloutier8

Many of us have suites that not everyone in the organization can/should access, but we would like to give glimpses of that data to the individual markets. Right now, user access rights limit what they can see in a pushed/shared dashboard. Example: Give markets a dashboard that compares their local trend to the overall company's, for any given metric. Let at least admins create dashboards that include reportlets from suites others can't access - it's a limited view, not full access.

Depends on your goal. It could be that you have several hundred entries with a value of "1"In that case a reverse sort would (presumably) randomly select and number some of the "1"s as 12345... and you would still have no idea how many unique values were recorded.
