I want to revoke all permissions from a particular path; let's say /content/a/b for all users. There are around 400 users and 50 groups on the instance. I know I can go to the individual user and group id in the user admin console and revoke the permissions from the path; but is there a way by which I can directly revoke the permissions of all users and group from the path; instead of doing it for each user and group individually?

No we are not adding '/content' with mod_rewrite.I deleted the .stat file but it did not get created with a new activation. So the problem is with the dispatcher module itself.

Hi Opkar,Just checked that none of the pages are getting updated. The page which I mentioned as getting updated previously was actually created for the first time in cache. So; none of the page is getting refreshed. and the .stat file is not getting updated with activation request. The dispatcher invalidation agent is at publishThe repository path to the file does match the cache path; we have removed "/content" using the apache resourceresolver osgi config. The error.log when a page gets activated...

Hi Opkar,The the user which started the webserver is the same and it did not change and the user has permissions to modify the stat file. I also restarted thecom.day.cq.cq-replicationorg.apache.sling.event and org.apache.felix.eventadmin bundles. Still it does not change. Really not sure why the file is not getting updated; also; some pages are getting refreshed and getting served properly. Thanks

Hi Opkar, Thanks for your reply.Since many pages are getting refreshed after activating; hence; statsfilelevel might not be the issue here. Also; its working without setting the statsfilelevel in other environments as well. Can you please let me know if I can check any other configuration ; which might be the issue behind this stat file not getting updated? Thanks

Hi Opkar, The statsfilelevel is commented; hence; the .stat file is getting formed in the cache root. The problem is that the time stamp is not getting updated for the .stat file.Strangely; some pages are getting invalidated; and are getting refreshed when they are requested; but some are getting served the old version. I noticed that the time-stamp displayed on the stat file is of last may; while it shoudl be updated with each activation; right? Thanks

The stat file in my cache root is not getting updated with activation requests; therefore old pages are getting served from dispatcher. The time-stamp is not getting modified. I read a post somewhere that the osgi configuration jcr observation listener might be stuck; and restarting it might cause the stat file's timestamp to update. If anybody knows how can we restart that particular osgi bundle; it will help a lot .Thanks

VersionHistory can be accessed only if the jcr mixintype is mix:versionable. The pages get rolled out automatically; hence can't set the jcr:mixintype on pages. Hence; can't access the versionhistory of pages. Can access the revisions using pagemanager.getrevisions method; but there is no option to delete the revisions.

In the current setup; we are trying to automate the process of creating the blueprint page, rolling it out to its live copies; and activating the live copy pages. Also; deactivation and deletion of pages is also done programmatically . All this is done via code using the com.day.cq.wcm.api.msm and com.day.cq.replication api.The problem we are facing right now is after deleting the blueprint and live copy pages programmatically ; if we again create the same page programmatically ; then; there come...

Hi smacdonald2008I checked the list; but there is no information for 3556 hot fix. Was this hotfix replaced or taken back; or is there any other hotfix for missing jcr:content nodes? Checked the help doc but there was no fix for missing jcr:content node. Thanks

There is a hotfix deployed on our CQ5.6.1 instance which is just uploaded; and not installed . The description mentions --CQ to handle nodes without jcr:contentWhat purpose does this hotfix serve? Does the hotfix re-create nodes for the pages whose jcr:content nodes are missing; or does it allows the pages without jcr:content nodes to work without error? Thanks

Hi Tomasz Sobczyk Thanks for your reply. I will make the check for running first isNull and then isLive on the adminresolver. Yes there are a lot of pages getting rolled out(around 40-50) . I wanted to know if this issue can be because the RR not getting closed properly. The session is opened several times in the code (not just in this snippet) and is closed in the same way as it is closed here. It has severely hampered the performance of the system

But after deleting both the live copy and blueprint; and creating the blueprint page with the same name; there is no option of 'CREATE' while roll out. There comes an option of 'No action' while rolling out the page. It means it is storing the history with the blueprint page's name. Can we delete the history forcefully; so that when we create the blueprint page from scratch; and roll out the live copy; 'CREATE' option comes and not 'NO ACTION'. As mentioned in the msm api; the endRelationship me...

Hi Opkar,We are using Google analytics for anlytics tracking; and the parameters we want to pass are the UTM codes. We can cache vanity url with with arguments; but as I mentioned earlier; in a simple CQ5 author setup; if on a page I configure a vanity url ; as vanityurl?param1=a&param2=b and hit the url http://localhost:4502/vanityurl?param1=a&param2=b ; I get a resource not found error. I tried by adding a vanity url testvanityurl?param=1&param=b to a page in a vanilla instance 5.6.1; it does not work; there is no dispatcher involved. There is no specific use case for this; the business uses many vanity urls; they want to add parameters to the url that they can catch at the front end for tracking purposes. Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks

We have a requirement in our project that we need to pass request parameters with the vanity url.So if the vanity url of a page is /vanityurl; the parameter attached would be /vanityurl?param=1&param=b; and the vanity url should get resolved to the page with the parameters and the url in the browser should remain as /vanityurl?param=1&param=bIs this feasible ? Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

We are running on CQ 5.6.1 and CRX CRX 2.4.64 right now. The space secured currently is 33GB. We wanted to free up some space; but when we run runDataStoreGarbageCollection(java.lang.Boolean delete) and startTarOptimization() ; we get the message 'null'. Also; the disk space taken by crx-quicksart folder remains the same. Is this an error ? Are these processes working properly?

I have a doubt regarding osgi bundles version in felix console after uninstalling the package in aem. The build plan is that the packages are installed incremently with the build version like 1.13.1 then 1.13.2 and so on.If there is a package package-1.13.4.zip installed; which has a bundle bundle-1.13.4.jarAfter uninstalling the package-1.13.4.zip; as per my understanding; the bundle-1.13.4.jar should be removed from apps/myproject/install as well as from the felix console; the bundle that shou...

Hi Jeeshan, Thanks for you reply. The mentioned method$ curl -F":operation=delete" -F":applyTo=/content/*" http://host/content/sample deletes the '/content/' page's jcr:content node as well. Looking for a way in which the child pages are deleted and the parent page's jcr:content node remains intact. Thanks
