Re: Flowing columns of different sizes to new page
kc
- Adobe LiveCycle 11-12-2012
Hi Niall,I did have a look at it and I can't seem to get it right. Do you understand my requirement for having two unequally long columns and that I need them to be paginated to the next page?It should look like this if both columns will paginate: Currently this is done in Jetform, so I guess it must be possible somehow in Livecycle ES also, I just can't get it to do what I need. I hope you have some pointers on were to look SincerelyKim Christensen

kc
- Adobe LiveCycle 07-12-2012
Hi all,I have a quick question regarding columns in Livecycle Designer, I have an scenario where I have two columns that will get filled with data (rows of repeating elements from XML).The two columns are independent and they are NOT equally high. The left column is shorter than the right one.So the issue is that I need these two columns to flow to a new page. If the left column (which is shorter) is filled up first it should overflow to the next page and show an empty right column. Vice versa i...

Getting value of a variable in another script object
kc
- Adobe LiveCycle 23-07-2012
Hi all,I have a scenario where I have one script object (MyTexts1) containing a lot of text for the form (each of the texts are stored in variables (fx. MyTexts1.infoText1). The variables are named after the fields (meaning that I have a field called "infoText1"). So for each field I call a function that takes the name of the field. This function (located in my script object called "functions") should somehow then find the value of the variable in "MyTexts.infoText1".Now my question is:How can I...

- Adobe LiveCycle 09-05-2012
Hi all,A simple scenario brushup:I have an LC process that takes as input 2 parameters:- formID- formXMLThe user starts out with an empty interactive form and fills out some info in this form. In the end he/she clicks submit and now I want to invoke my process to create a flattened form from the XML just entered in the interactive form. The process returns a flattened form with the data merged with the XDP template referenced in formID. Simple as that. What I basically need is to do something simi...

Hi again dohanlon,You were right, something in my script on the form was not executed correctly - seems like the util.stringFromStream does not work in the form if you run it in the plugin. I changed my code into usinsg the stringforStream method in my trusted function and then it suddenly worked. Thanks a lot for your help btw - it led me into understanding that it was possible to use the trusted functions inside the belly of the browser plugin also\Kim

Trusted functions in Reader through browser plugin
kc
- Adobe LiveCycle 20-03-2012
Hi all,I have created a trusted function that works perfectly when I open my form directly through Reader or Acrobat 🙂My trusted function does something like import a file as an attachment from a certain place on disk. However when I try to open it through the browser plugin (ie. Internet Explorer) it does not work - what could I be doing wrong? And what do I need to take into consideration to make it work through the browser plugin? Please don't hesitate to ask if you need further information.Th...
