Solved

I'm creating custom HTML and was wondering if there is documenation on the tags or code used for personalization, unsubscribe, view as a web page, etc. I want to have the unsubscribe and view as a web page in my template not added in through the admin area.

Hey gang,I've engaged a design firm to create a bunch of assets for us, including an HTML email and a customize email template. I've dug around in here looking for some design guidelines or a specs sheet I could send them but couldn't find what I was looking for.Does there exist and article/pdf/whatever that I can pass on to my design firm so they know what they're working with? Thanks so much!-Justin

Have anyone tried to verify if the email address that user inputs in the Marketo form actually belongs to the user?  The generic process is like1. an email is sent to the address after the form submission.  2. a link embedded in the email is clicked and address is verified.Bin Liang

In the admin section, SF integration, what does the token do in the credentials box? (under password line)

We're trying out the publish to facebook option and for some reason our landing page renders funny (the whole landing page doesn't seem to fit in the frame of the facebook tab) Has anyone had any experience with this?

Will Forms2.0 be in the December release?

I'm building a form that includes a "State" field. When I test, the default value is AK, but I would prefer that the field be blank. I don't see how to  make that happen in the Form Designer. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm trying to send an email blast. Within the smart list I have selected the right smart list, but when I view campaign members - it keeps on saying there is no one in my list. Any ideas?

We have an interactive demo on our website and within the demo we have an option for the prospect to click and select if they request additional info. We created a smart campaign and a check box in Marketo so when they select this option the checkbox is checked so we know the prospect requested additional info, however, this does not let us know when they selected the RFI option.  Also, this will not allow us to know if they chose the option more than once because after they select it the check box is checked and is unable to be updated with a check if the box is already checked. Is there a way that a date can be entered instead of a check box and to have the date updated each time they select this option to show that days date?

Is there any way to prevent duplicate content from being sent by the new engagement functionality in the event that the content was delivered outside of the engagement nurture stream? For example, someone downloads whitepaper xyz directly from your website, but you also have an email in your engagement stream that offers the same content...can you prevent the engagement stream from emailing the asset that has already been downloaded organically off the website?

We enabled sync out Marketo to Salesforce once, but because of some errors we stopped it by changing security tokens. We currently have Salesforce Contacts on our Marketo.   we don't want Marketo to update Salesforce contact data.  Also we would like to delete them only on Marketo because we no longer need those Contacts in our Marketo.   We tried to delete it by "Delete Lead" commando on Lead Database. The contact still exists although the dialog said "Succeed".   We searched and reviewed the following related article but ours didn't run like on this. http://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000PUKzAAO   Thanks.

Hi, I'm a new Marketo user and I'm thinking about setting up Smart Lists for data cleansing. I'm convinced many of you have done this before...has anyone compiled list of steps on how to do this so I can delegate it? It seems like a fairly easy thing to do with repeatable steps (ie: state data field cleanups - look for these common variations of Arkansas to add to the smart list...for example: ARK, AR, Arkansas, Ark., etc). Also, can Smart Lists look for misspellings? It seems from the tutorials that they can only look for additional information that's added onto your existing search item:ie: USA pulls up USAA as an option but not U.S.A

HiI have created a custom field of type formula field basically to fetch the Created By + Created Date into Markeo. But this field does not appear in Marketo after next Synchronization run by Marketo. I have applied the same logic 6 months ago to fetch the Account Record Type Name into Marketo using custom formula field and it worked. I am surprised why is the same not working now. Kindly help. Thanks

I'm wondering if there is a delay on channel filters when building out program analyzer reports? I've created a new channel and done some testing on the program and now trying to set up some reporting however, I'm not able to see the channel in the channel filter. Is there typically a delay?

I am trying to multithread SOAP requests, but getting "InternalError" exception. Is tehre anything I have to take into consideration by doing this? Thanks

http://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000L6BbCAKWill a sales rep still be able to send an email to a person marked as Marketing suspended via the Sales insight tool in Outlook.  I am a little confused by the above article... Can someone clarify for me please? Thanks

Right now, I have a field in Salesforce which references a 13-digit SFDC ID for my sales rep. I created a formula field in Marketo to translate those fields into human readable-names and would like to include them in emails for personalization, but keep running into errors where batch emails can't process the formula.I realize the standard answer to this is to make different Smart Lists/emails, but I have 16 sales reps and this would be quite cumbersome. Is there any way to either have the IDs translate by Marketo in a more native manner or be able to deploy the name display in a batch email?

I have a question regarding what goes into Marketo's email open rate.  Is the open rate based on someone clicking "display images" in the email? Or is the open rate also based on someone opening the email and NOT clicking "display images" in the email?   I am thinking that if they dont do that then Marketo doesnt know they opened it.  If someone knows either way, it would be great information to have! Thanks in advance! Andrea

[NOT SOLVED YET!]Hi there!I recently created a new marketo field that describes the product edition a person is interested in. This field does not yet exist in Salesforce. How can I start syncing this field to Salesforce so I can use it in sales reports? Thanks!Eric

If someone fills in a 'Contact Us'' form, and we send an automatic response that the message was received and that we will get back to them, do we need the unsubscribe text at the bottom of the autoresponse email? Thanks for any insightPatrick

Is it possible to count the use of tokens used in a email campaign, ideally we would like to track the use of the token against the default use of it.Hello {{lead.First Name:default=there}}Thats a more basic one and we could probably use a smart list to identfy where First_Namefield is empty.Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks,Barry

I'm trying to pull down via the API the original source url for leads.  I'm using the getLead() API call, but it doesn't return all of the lead attributes.  It doesn;t seem to return the marketo automated fields at all.  Is there a way to pull this information out using the API?Thanks!

I’m hoping someone might be able to help me figure out how to accomplish some things with a repeating table subform in a form I’m building.  I’ve attached the file here.  https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=2nUNZuTf2T4tsdSykMTlXwI have a table (AssessChart1Table) it set up on pg 7 (Analysis) and have built in buttons(AddRowAssesChart1 and DeleteRowAssesChart1) so the user can add or delete additional rows of data as needed.  The problem is that the user also enters data going across in the header row (AssessChart1HeaderRow1) of this table.  There are 10 columns available; however, they may need to add more data than that. Therefore, I made a button (AddMoreCourses) for the user to click to add another instance of the table subform (AssessEvalChart1) and also undo the adding of the subform with this button (UndoAddMoreCourses). In addition, I have it setup that whatever data the user enters into the cell (Prog-DeptObjChart1) cell of that table gets automatically transfe

We have set up some smart campaigns to track when a person (1) visits a particular page on our site and (2) fills out the embeded form on that page of the site.Since we have not acitivated our embeded forms, the only thing being tracked, at the moment, is the number of page views where the form exists.Any suggestions for resetting this smart campaign to track the web page visits once the embeded form is pushed live and that smart campaign becomes active?Do you forsee any issues with just deactivating it and then activating it again? Will this reset the tracking on this smart campaign? My goal is to accurately reflect web page visits along side embeded form fills in analytics to see a percentage comparison of the two.

I was trying to delete some leads from SFDC but keep them in Marketo.  When deleting from SFDC, during the category : "delete from Marketo", I put "false", as directed.  But it still deleted them in Marketo.  What should I have done differently?
