I would like to know how those numbers where determined. I also would like to know what test/testing software is used to validate those numbers. I'm trying to determine is the CQ system that I inherited is configured and optimized correctly.Thank you for your time.

Hi,I'am following the instructions at the following link in order to set up the AEM Commerce framework:http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-6/ecommerce/eCommerce-framework.htmlAll the packages seem to be installing fine as per the logs, but the embedded hybris server is not getting extracted under the bundles directory.I have tried using the following packages that are provided in the Package share site:1) cq-hybris-content-5.5.22) cq-hybris-server-5.5.0Could you please direct me as to whether these are the correct packages for CQ 5.6 and any further pointers as to why the embedded hybris server is not getting extracted correclty even though the Package manager shows that the installation is successful.Thanks,Siddhi.

Is is possible to set the default langage of CQ5 (i.e. French) so it applies to all my groups. I don't want to set the langage individually to each group because i have hundreds of groups.

I created an osgi bundle using CQ5.5 that would use sling scheduler to add a job to run at midnight everyday.  We recently did an update to CQ5.6.1 which included the scr code and install jar, however the bundle appears to not run the activate method with my code.  I've tried stopping, restart, an uninstalling the bundle with no change.  The log returns warnings but not any errors that prevent it from successfully building.  Once I build in the console I am getting error on the component could not be activated, or SchedulerBind could not be completed.  Before the update the scheduled job did run correctly selecting a page from a folder of terms, but now it is not even printing debug statements in activate method.import java.io.Serializable;import java.util.*;import javax.jcr.*;import org.osgi.service.component.ComponentContext;import org.slf4j.Logger;import org.slf4j.LoggerFactory;import org.apache.felix.scr.annotations.Activate;import org.apache.felix.scr.annotations.Deactivate;import

I have a workflow setup where a user submits a page for review/approval. The approver needs to be able to terminate/end the workflow and send a notification email to the initiator (NOT assign the workflow back to the initiator - it needs to end altogether) with a comment on why they terminated the flow.I have the "terminate and send email" aspect working fine with a Send Email step that sends an email and auto-advances to Flow End. However, I need to include the approver's comment from the "Complete Work Item" dialog in the email and I cannot figure out the variable that I need to put in the email template.${data.startComment} or ${instance.data.startComment} retrieves the comment entered on initial workflow kick-off, but how do I get the comment from the completion dialog?This value I need seems to get stored deep in the workflow instance node hierarchy under /etc/workflow/instances/*date*/model_***/history/****/workItem/metaData with a "comment" property there, but no variable I've t

Hi, I want to render a content page for a given user. (the user is not logged in and  only userID is available) My approach was to use a servlet which does the following stepslogin as adminimpersonate user (using userID)send redirect It is possible to get a Session object using SlingRepository.loginAdministrative(null)and I can impersonate the session for the given user with session.impersonate(credentials)but the impersonation is only active in the Session object but we need an impersonate that works like the impersonate CQ provides (eg.  in /useradmin  or /siteadmin) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Michael

I have the Link Checker Transformer service turned on and the strip html extension option checked in the felix console. It is working as intended except in the following scenario.I have an unordered list on a page:<ul><li>Click Here</li></ul>On clicking "Click Here", an event is triggered that redirects to another URL: /content/mysite/testpage.html using jQuery(location).attr('href', "/content/mysite/testpage.html");In this case, the .html is still dangling around in the URL even after testpage has loaded.PS: removing ".html" at the end of the URL string cannot be a solution in my case because it will fail in the author mode.Any help in working with this issue is appreciated. One year ago I installed successfully CQ5 as a windows service under Windows 7 32bit. After that I've switched to Windows 7 **64bit**. Currently I have a project using CQ5 so I install again it (under Window 64bit). CQ5 starts fine with `crx-quickstart/bin/start.bat` using command line. Also I don't see any problem when installing as service with the command `instsrv.bat cq5`:    Installing service cq5        runs in   E:\servers\cq5-server\author\crx-quickstart        uses      E:\servers\cq5-server\author\crx-quickstart\opt\helpers\\..\..\app\cq-quickstart-5.5.0-standalone.jar        starts    org.apache.sling.launchpad.app.Main        redirects output to: E:\servers\cq5-server\author\crx-quickstart\logs\startup.logBut when I run `net start cq5`, I get an error as below:    The cq5 service is starting.    The cq5 service could not be started.    A service specific error occurred: 0.    More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3547.And checking log file commons-daemon.2013-09-01.l

Hi I have a requirement where App A consumes restful services exposed by CQ. Some of these are from author and some are from publisher. In case of author we need to provide authentication for consuming restful services exposed by CQ. This authentication should be done against client DS server before passing credentials to CQ. For this I planned to create Custom Authentication handler. Some issue in this custom authentication handler. Hi guys, I am developing in CQ 5.6 and need to parse a file that was uploaded by a content author via the smartfile widget in the page properties. Content of the csv file needs to be parsed and sent as JSON feed to a component. So I've create an EventHandler that is triggered with:@Property(name = "event.topics", value = "org/apache/sling/api/resource/Resource/ADDED")The EventHandler works fine but unfortunately the event is triggered on "upload" and not when the dialog is "saved". So I am actually still grabbing the old file in CRX. I've checked the event log in Felix and see that NO event is fired when the dialog is 'oked' and saved. How can I grab the new file? Any idea or suggestion on how to implement this requirement is very much appreciated :)Thanks, Alex

Hi All!I need to replicate the files that is uploaded by customer in Publish server to Auth server. Most type of the files is nt:file uploaded by form and some is dam:asset uploaded by asset management.I think it could works as a reverse replication, but according to some opinion that i found by googling reverse replication only works when the type is cq:page.I really need to implement the function, please give my any guidancethank you!

Hi All,We got new requirement from client . The requirement is  , In Site Admin Consloe after clikcing "+" icon  of any website node , display the child nodes in Ascending order. Based on my analysis i found that we need to customize the "tree" servlet. But did not found source for this. I did not know is there any other way we can do this. I have spent the past week trying to sort out a problem with a new configuration of a Dispatcher installation.  It is running on IIS 7.0, on a stand-alone server in our Development tier, so it has full access to our single Author and Publisher servers.  I have gone through the Configuration page (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/deploying/dispatcher/disp_config.html) and the Troubleshooting page (http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/dispatcher-faq.html)  several times.  I have verified that my IIS server has the dispatcher files (the newest ones for 64 bit server) installed in c:\inetpub\Scripts and that they have been edited following the instructions (the dispatcher.any and disp_iis.ini files).  The modules have been registered in ISAPI Filters, Handler Mappings, and Configuration editor, and the json mime type has been added.  I have triple checked everything.  I have even built a temporary server with the Author, Publisher, and IIS

Hello, everyone!I have Adobe LiveCycle ES4 server (with SP1) installed. And also i have cq-quickstart-5.6.1.jar.In some of the Adobe tutorial/sales they were showing a process of creation forms in CQ. An theirs interfaces slightly differed from the same i have.First of all - Forms Manager. Theirs .xdp files are presented in two ways. While i have only one. And also, there are more menu buttons in theirs variant.And another one difference: while editing a page, they have Form Hierarchy panel.
