Hi I created a package of an application from server 1 and installed into server 2. In server 1 in sidekick component tab all components are visible but in server 2 its not. But in server 2 sidekick, pages and other tabs are visible. Please help.

I have been attempting to get the responsive simulator working. I am running 5.6, and I can see it working just fine when I go to geometrixx-media and switch to Preview mode to get the devices dropdown list and switch between them. On my site, I have created the sling:OsgiConfig, setup the cq:deviceGroups and included the simulator.jsp, all as instructed on the documentation (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-6/developing/mobile/responsive.html). No matter what I do, all I'm able to get is the Devices and Rotate buttons to show visible, but Devices does not have any items within its menu. I saw a prior discussion on this but the recommended fix (if we can call it that since the original poster never commented on his status) did not have any affect on my instance. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,I have created 2 templates. One is a parent template and the other a child template. Child templates can only be created under the parent template is it possible to use allowedparents to restrict this, I have tried this but it does not seem to work.Chris

I want to add a custom item as described in the attached screenshot. I looked into /libs/cq/core/components/welcome/welcome.jsp but could not understand where I need to add. I Appreciate your help.Thank you! 

Hi,On 5.5 you could go to site admin open up a site and order a page by dragging it up or down this option however seems to be gone in version 5.6.1 Thanks  Chris

For OOTB search component, I see that when I make a request to perform a search on the web server. I see in the dispatcher.log it will make request to the CQ publish instance and return the text result.Is it possible that when it does the search, it will do the search query only on the web server, so that even the CQ publish some how goes down, the search can still perform successfully?

Hi,with our recent upgrade to 5.6.1 we noticed that such things like CQURLInfo were not working. I did some investigation and noticed that the html lib manager did not have the flagForce CQURLInfo ticked.Once I ticked it and saved the configuration everything seemed to work. Is this check box suppose to be selected all the time ??ThanksChris

Hi ,When i want to configure my cq5.4-dispatcher with IIS server ,i did the initial files placing(dispatcher.any and ini ..etc files).So here i want to add my dispatcher flush to cq5 right..While hitting test connection im getting error..i mean connection has not been made with my port iis server 1020.When i use localhost:1020/server.txt....it is showing server text info correctly but when im using this path http://localhost:1020/dispatcher/invalidate.cache getting error..In the replication we will specify the IIS server port only right?Can anyone help me on this..Is there any other modification required for /dispatcher/invalidate.cache detection by the url mentioned above..Sony C.

I know how to configure AEM to choose the classic UI by default on sign-on but that doesn't prevent access to the Touch UI if an individual knows the URL for the Touch UI.  Is there a way one can completely disable or remove the Touch UI so that it's not available even if you know it's URL?

I have recently started working with CQ5.6.1 - hot fix 1.I have been creating a slideshow component for a customer:- The slides for the customers slideshow must is composed of images.- The source for the slideshow is a pdf. We have set up a 2 process step workflow - The workflow is used on a pdf in the DAM:1, Create sub assets2, Run another workflow on each "Original" subasset path. Hi,from my understanding when 5.5 does not support image cropping in chrome, when I try to crop an image with chrome what I notice is that the image disappears in either free crop mode or aspect mode this however works in firefox. My understanding is that this issue would be resolved in 5.6.1 and so recently we upgraded to 5.6.1, however when I tried to crop using chrome again after the cq5 upgrade we still get the same problem. We are using an image component and all cropping is done after the image is dropped into the image component. I have checked all the logs but there does not seem to be anything obviously wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated.Chris 

I have two questions:1) When I apply settings via the felix console, they get saved as nodes of nt:file with a jcr:content node underneath. I see everywhere else to use osgiconfig nodes instead. Which one of the two is preferred when setting these configurations using curl2) I have issues creating nodes underneath a parent node of the format: config.author or map.publish if there already is a config or map node. Sling is just mapping my request to config / map, rather than config.author / map.publish. Anyone any idea how I can work around this?Many thanks,Katrien
