How to modify the Page property in the Page component jsp  and set the new modified value back to the Page property  by setProperty(..,...) method? Can we  set the Page property back? My Situation is I want to set the Unique Page ID for every page I create, So I would like this to be a Page Property.I am considering the the current datetime  is unique feature, So I want to convert this current datetime to unix time value a long value and want to set  this PageID property   to that page.I can access the Page properties in the Page component jsp file, But when I try to set the Page property it wont throw error nor it sets my new modified value. My Code in Component JSP is as below:SlingRepository repository = resourceResolver.adaptTo(SlingRepository.class);                Session session = repository.loginAdministrative(null);                Node node= session.getNode("Absolute path of the Page");                                 node.setProperty("jcr:Pageid",Unix Datetime );

Grab 3 items from a given subcategory2. If there is less than 3 items in the given subcategory, grab from other subcategory under the same category until I get 3 items.3. We're in the process of separating our entire workspace into multiple workspaces. As part of the code restructuring we're stuck at one place. At the moment we get hold of the user session using request.getResourceResolver().adaptTo(Session.class);What this does is that it returns back is the session for the default workspace (crx.default). Is there a way we can get hold of  a specified workspace? I can see that the Repository class has the repository.login(Crendentials, WorkspaceName)However we weren't able to find out a way to get the Credentials from the Session. The authentication right now is integrated with LDAP.Is there any workaround for this?

I see this problem when I use  following code in my workflow custom process.@Reference  private ResourceResolverFactory resolverFactory;I see a previous  thread with the same subject in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1204006?tstart=0I tried the workaround mentioned in the thread, it didn't work for me(one of the workaround is by adding -XX:-UseSplitVerifier option to the JVM .This issue seems to be an with CQ 5.6 and java 7). I already have this in my start.bat and quickstart.batHere are Java and CQ5 versions I triedJava 1.7CQ: Version 5.6 and 6.0 (Didn't work on any one of them)

Hi All,I have a requirement to encrypt the passwords that are currently set as free text.I found that there is an option in CQ5 to encrypt passwords using 'Crypto Support'.Could you please provide any documentation(if available) or instructions to make use of this feature.As per few online comments, I navigated to localhost:4502/system/console/crypto and entered password in plain text and clicked protect. It generated a protected text however I'm not sure sure how to make use of it and also, it didnt generate hmac and master properties under /etc/key.ThanksMSR

Sorry if this seems basic but I tried "Components" tab with "Edit" and/or "Design" mode.    It seems like it keeps switching me back to "Edit".  Then I get the backside menu of what looks like fields and labels.  I don't see any images.  So I try "Page" instead of "Components"  and I try "Design".  I drop an image on an image I want to replace and it doesn't replace it.  It just takes me to a file:/// page in the browser with that image.  How do I change some images on my page?  Thanks,

Hi All,We are using a custom compoment and need to stop permanently.We have clicked on stop button in component and went to inactive mode. If we restart the instance, all the components are loading and even this also moving to active state. We need to stop and it should not get active even the instance restarted. Please advice.

We've a situation where we had a focum posted to produciton by accident and we deleted the forum, but the user responses are still showing up if we queyr the "activites"> SO i went to the user profile and deleted the content from hi profile. I also used replicate delete to delete from publish. So asicaly under that user we do not have any UGC.On dispatcher, it's still showing up? DOes dispatcher cache even forum data? if so where should I be looking at to delete the user response? Thanks

Hi,Is there a way to make certain pages unmovable/uncopyable in CQ5?For example, we want all pages that are located at /content/myapp/*/home not to be movable and/or copy/pastable.Also is it possible to make sure that only specifc page (node) names are allowed under a given path (e.g. /content/myapp/*/)?To be more precise, in our deployment, we have folders similar to:/content/myapp/site1/content/myapp/site2,etc.site1, site2, etc. are [nt:folder] nodes.Under each of these folders, there's one "root" page named "home":/content/myapp/site1/home/content/myapp/site2/home,etc.We want to prevent users from creating any other pages right below site1, site2, etc. and only allow them to create pages that are children of home.We also want to restrict users from copying any of these home nodes and paste them back to the same site node.Finally, we also want to prevent users from copying any page, and paste them under any of site1, site2, etc. nodesWhat options do we have to implement these require

We are using a custom xtype to create cusom multifield lists. The xtype takes the declarations from our dialog, and creates repeatable sections based on your standard dialog xml.We have created another custom xtype, which is a select box, that populates the options based on a function which returns some values in a JSON object from a content node. It works nicely using optionsProvider.What happens though is when we declare our select xtype within our multifield xtype, the optionsProvider does not fire, hence not populating the options. Does anyone know if there is a known issue whereby optionsProvider isn't called in such circumstances (nested xtypes)?

Our platform is used by English speaking content authors to author content in all languages.We wish to force the WCM authoring interface to use English for all out-of-the-box strings (editbars, context menus, sidekick, etc), while still using the i18n bundle for our own strings.So far: Tried setting the user's (and group's) preferences > language to English; WCM was still localized, even after re-logging in.  Even if it worked, I imagine it would use English for our own localized strings, which is not acceptable. Considered implementing RequestLocaleResolver to set the locale to 'en' for all author requests in WCM edit mode.  Again, I imagine it would use English for our own localized strings, which is not acceptable. Considered overlaying the WCM i18n dictionary, /libs/wcm/core/i18n.  I doubt this will work unless we overlay each of the i18n files with all of the English strings.  Less than desirable. Same as the overlay approach, but instead adding a new i18n dictionary under /app

I'm very new to CQ and if I use the wrong terms, I apologize. The Java app I'm writing runs on a different physical server than CQ. The app uploads pdfs to DAM via webDav and then sets metadata on the pdfs using JCR over RMI. All of that is working peachy. My question is - how can I programmatically publish/(Activate?) the newly uploaded pdfs from my application? Can this be done with JCR? Thanks in advance!

Hi,We are experiencing an issue when trying to import content packages from an existing  5.6.1 installing towards a new 6.0.0 (SP1 / hotfix-5176) Installation. We use MongoDB together with customBlobStore (file based). Hello, I'm trying to figure out the order of precedence/resolution if one configures different run modes for the same instance using the different methods available, such as naming the jar file, passing in system or JVM arguments, and configuration in sling.properties.The following documentation http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/RunModeSetUp.html says the following:Behavior When Run Modes Are Specified More than One WayThe run mode specified in the naming of the jar file takes precedence. If run modes are not specified in the naming of the jar file, the values in the sling.properties file are used.
