We are on AEM 6.1 and we have personalized content on the home page of our website based on the user profile attributes. Let’s assume million user hits the home page, does that mean that home page will be pulled from cq publisher every time instead of dispatcher. Is there any way to improve the performance?

Say I'm having a jsp script that uses a model Model1 which provides myMethod. Now, model Model2 has it's own implementation of myMethod.Model1 is for component 1, Model2 is for component 2. I want to include the jsp script in both components, without the need to duplicate it, the only difference being the model instantiated. Any ideas?

I am on AEM 6.1. Under campaigns, when i create a page using offer template, scroll bar is not shown on the page. Due to which i cannot add multiple components on the offer page.Any help will be highly appreciated!!

Hi All,We have a requirement where we are creating a custom Multi-Widget and in the dialog we are using a paragraphreference which enable Author to browse the another component reference eg a composite component scenario.The issue we are facing is with the width of the field. By Default in "/libs/cq/ui/widgets/source/ext/source/widgets/form/TriggerField.js" the defaultTriggerWidth given as 17px and using this field didn't appear properly in the dialog.To resolve this we tried to use css option but that didn't work because we were unable to find the desire class on which we can apply the style.We also tried overriding the existing TriggerField.js and move it under "/apps/cq/ui/widgets/source/ext/source/widgets/form/TriggerField.js"  and change the width as per our need., this approach works but it will be helpful if somebody let us know the better way by which this can be achieved.Thanks in advance,Shikha

Hello,I want to set up different user groups so that they have access to their respective dam assets folders.i've created 2 groups group A and Group B and asset folders folder1 and folder2.Now i created users and made them member of group A, they were still able to see folder2(i have already modified the properties for folder 2 and set CUG as groupB). To each user that I create there were 2 more groups assigned - contributors and everyone , when i removed contributors group assigned from my user, now when i log in with that user it has no access to dam page....I get 404 error.I want users from group A to only see folder1 and groupB-folder2, How do i achieve it??moreover how do i do all of it programmatically?Thanks in advance.

They have to decide between an ''On Premise'' installation or a ''Cloud''.I really need to have some direct feedback from someone in Adobe about PROs and CONs and main features on an ‘’On Premise’’ and a ‘’Cloud’’ installation of Adobe Experience Manager. Greetings,I just wrote my own external Oak identity provider (1) based on LDAP identity provider in the Oak project (2) and configured it based on instructions in AEM documentation (3).I must have missed something since the authenticate method (4) is never called even if the service is activated and the identity provider name seems to be accepted. In my local AEM instance's crx/de, I am seeing that on fresh AEM 6.0 installation /libs/cq/gui/components/common does not have autocomplete node which provides functionality to populate dropdown values (for example from tags).Can somebody guide me how can I get this and its corresponding dependent artifacts installed / imported in crx ?

Current Client context read users from AEM, instead of that I wanted to read users from external source. Also I wanted the way user names are coming in drop down in client context , same way external users should come. So that can set segmentation rules based on those values.

I created a new user myuser. By default it became member of everyone group.I tried to log in with this user in all geometrix sites , I could login with this id.Now I created a new page(outside geometrix) dragged OOTB login component and tried login in, I get an alert stating error "user could not be found"...I dont understand why such different behaviour.I have not created or given any different permissions? onlu thing i did is t create user, then how come it can access geometrix and not my pages?

According to the documentation on annotations (https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/author/page-authoring/annotations.html#Annotation%20Sketches) Authors should be able to delete sketches attached to annotations. "To delete an individual sketch - select the required sketch, then press the Delete key (fn-backspace on a MAC)."In trying to delete a sketch authors are instead logged out with an error message stating they are logged out. We tested this on 6.0 SP1 and SP2  in Classic UI with the same outcome. Can anyone confirm this as an issue and of course is anyone aware of a solution? Thanks

I'm trying to tweak this example so that I can start the workflow with MetaDataMap containing key value pairs for the steps to work with. The log message prints the key and value sets. But the steps in the workflow do not have this data. How can i translate AEM Assets? 

Objective: The response of a webservice is an excel (a separate call for pdf) file. I need to show this file as a link on the aem-page, and whne users click the link, the browser opens (or downloads) the file. Use case: On the customer page, there is a section with links to Order History (Excel file), Invoice(PDF file), Products catalog(Excel file). Clicking on each link, makes a call to webservice and fetches the respective file.Would appreciate any thoughts on how to achieve this.

Hi All,,In one of my sling servlet we are parsing a xml for this we are using dom4j.To compile these classes i have included below Maven dependency.<dependency>            <groupId>dom4j</groupId>            <artifactId>dom4j</artifactId>            <version>1.3</version>        </dependency>When i create bundle and installing through Maven bulid script this classes in this jar are not reflecting.Do i need to make any changes build script to automatically deploy into CQ server?Thanks,Kishore

Hi All,Is their any way to fix the position of an Paragraph reference popup by including the default js file provided by Adobe /libs/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/form/ParagraphReference.js using it the position doesn't remain fix and popup move to the top of the page.One way we found is to overwrite the file and create project specific copy and modify the logic but it will be helpful if somebody let us know the better way by which this can be achieved.Thanks in advance,Shikha
