hi

i'm looking for the  profile size limits  on AEP

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/profile/guardrails.html?lang=en

regrading to this it is 100k per record and 50mb per all the fragments.

can someone explain more about this issue ?

also in here https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/ingestion/guardrails.html

that

  • The maximum record size is 1 MB, with the recommended size being 10 KB.

so i am bit confused with all the numbers... any help will be appreciated

A profile fragment is the corresponding identity value and data which is ingested as record or event data into a dataset.  Please refer to the following article.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/profile/home.html?lang=en#profile-fragments-vs-merged-profiles

The limitations in the in the guardrails document refer to data ingestion patterns.  Guardrail limits are often met or exceeded when there are array based data structures used for data ingestion to the Adobe Realtime CDP platform.
