Ineligible evaluation method

Hi,

We've created a dynamic segment that compares an event data with a profile attribute. however, when i select EDGE as the evaluation method, I encounter the following error shown in the screenshot, Could anyone provide guidance on how to create this an edge segment?

I understand that profile attributes are not available on the edge network by default, but is there a way to send the profile attributes to the edge to enable this as an edge segment?  The goal is to use this segment in Adobe Target to display personalized message in real-time, on page load, to a specific authenticated users. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @madhus7

I pulled this from some of the Edge documentation. Does your audience qualify for any of the following:

--Single event within a time window of less than 24 hours

----Any segment definition that refers to a single incoming event within a time window of less than 24 hours.

--Profile only

---- Any segment definition that refers to only a profile attribute.

--Single event with a profile attribute within a relative time window of less than 24 hours

----Any segment definition that refers to a single incoming event, with one or more profile attributes, and occurs within a relative time window of less than 24 hours.

--Segment of segments

----Any segment definition that contains one or more batch or streaming segments. Note: If a segment of segments is used, profile disqualification will happen every 24 hours.

--Multiple events with a profile attribute

---- Any segment definition that refers to multiple events within the last 24 hours and (optionally) has one or more profile attributes.

Also, is the merge policy you are currently using marked as "active on edge"?

Hi David,

Thanks for your response. yes, our merge policy is marked as 'active on edge'.

Hello @madhus7 ,

Thanks for posting here. I would suggest try to create another segmentation from fresh and select the merge policy (Active on edge) before saving the new segmentation. Also, Please consider the data valuation on below mentioned condition:

@madhus7  adding to the list to confirm you are using WebSDK data streaming for the dataset/schema in question, if not considering using WebSDK for Edge

@madhus7  did you check how data is being ingested considering the error seems to be a mismatch between data ingestion and evaluation because of that you are getting the error, may be try again with a fresh connection and corresponding setting / discussed in prior comments. Once ingestion is complete check your profile if you have the required field before you plan for audience creation
