Dataset Latency Guardrails

Hi All,

Can someone help me understand the POV for latency being introduced when it comes to soft limits of datasets in platform. My understanding was that the limit was 20/20 regarding profile enabled datasets. So 20 event and 20 profile, but having profile enabled. When reading back through, it doesn't explicitly mention 'Profile Enabled'.

For Example:
15 profile enabled profile class datasets

5 non enabled profile class datasets

-would I hit the soft limit of 20?

Hello @davidross91 ,

I just reviewed the following documentation:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/profile/guardrails#primary-entity-guardrails

Based on this, the limit applies at the class level, and it does not depend on whether the dataset is profile-enabled or not.

If I understand correctly, you can create a maximum of 20 datasets for XDM profiles. These datasets can be tied to either a single XDM profile class schema or multiple schemas of same class. This limitation is not related to whether the profile feature is enabled or not.

The same applies to the event class.

However, I do have a doubt: Is this limitation specifically for profile-enabled schemas.

Kind regards,
Parvesh

Thanks @parvesh_parmar - I have the same doubt, hoping that maybe someone would be able to clarify.

@jagpreet_singh_ is it possible have someone from AEP engineering team help resolve this question?
