Adobe Marketo Engage

We have a campaign launching that will be pushing data into a custom object. In the past (before I was with the company), we had them come in through one field via JSON string and then parsed out in velocity. We can still do that OR push the info into fields within the custom object. Here are examples of the fields we would create and then push them to:  Tier 5 Join date: {marketplace_tier_change_date}Tier 6 Join date: {marketplace_tier_change_date}Temporary stop sell start date:{temporary_suspension_start_date}Next Evaluation date: {next_evaluation_date}Permanent stop sell date: {permanent_suspension_start_date}I personally think it's easier to push this data into individual fields because it makes it "cleaner" and because it's less work on the velocity side. Just curious if there's a best practice for this? A colleague of mine thinks we should just push to one field and parse it out in velocity but I'm not entirely sure why. Is my approach just lazy?&nbs

I would like to configure and fine-tune our preference center. Can we have an umbrella, or parent, content category with sub-categories underneath? For example:  Marketing □* Monthly Newsletter □* Promotions & Product Updates □* Announcements □ Marketing ☑ * Monthly Newsletter ☑* Promotions & Product Updates ☑* Announcements ☑ If a contact selects "Marketing" they opt-in to all of the subcategories and will display a field on their Info page titled "Marketing Subscribe to All". If they unsubscribe to 1, but leave 2 selected, only those opt-ins would be checked, and the "Marketing Subscribe to All" will be unchecked.  Additionally, if a subscriber visits the preference center, could they see exactly what they are subscribed to in real time? Does anyone have any resources they can share with me that could help me understand how I'd be able to accomplish the above? Thank you!

IssueProgram member custom fields are not syncing data to Salesforce campaign member fields even though they are mapped. In this setup, the sync for Campaign Members is being performed by 'Add to SFDC Campaign' or 'Change Status in SFDC' flow-steps, but the Program itself is not set to sync with an SFDC Campaign. I'd rather keep the poll private and not allow people to share the poll with their social networks. However, I can only ever uncheck 2 out of the 3 social networks listed (if I uncheck Facebook and Twitter, the box below LinkedIn goes gray).

At our company, when a user sends an email using MSC, we add our mailing list to the cc list.However, if a member of your company accidentally opens the package, you will not be able to properly track their activity.I would like to know the solution

Why wouldn't Marketo's proximity filter detect this kind of activity?  Some companies seem to put emails through an email scanner which clicks every link in the email or the first link in every recipient's emails etc.   Is there anything we can do to get more accurate numbers? I am building an email nurture (batch programs nested within an engagement program -- triggered to run through the engagement stream). We have dynamic subject headers based on persona and we have a default send. If I set up a champion/challenger test on the subject line will it only run of default sends? Or will it overwrite the dynamic subject lines I have built for the others as well?

We are trying to share an OFT file via link with a handful of our contacts in Marketo. Has anyone had any success in downloading their OFT file into the Design Studio and then linking the document in their email body? We've noticed the file seems to be corrupted when we send a test email to ourselves.  We are all working in Outlook and planning to send the email to others who are using Outlook, so it is not an issue of having the right program to download the file. 

I've recently found out "Was Sent E-mail" and "Was Delivered E-mail" are kept for only 3 months.I was using these criteria on my Smart Lists, but now they're no longer enough... I tried to use "Member of Program", but it doesn't have any Constraints related to date or minimum of times. What we need to do is detect users that received a minimum number of emails for an extended period of time, and if they didn't open any of these, they would be kept out of programs for at least 6 months before trying to send anything else again. Of course, the only maintainable way to do that is if the Smart list uses values based on time (X months, instead of specific date, which would require constant maintenance), and on minimum number of emails (instead of relying on specific programs or emails). I tried looking for compatible criteria but couldn't find any that would help us achieve that... Do you have any tips or solutions?Thanks, you all!

Hi all, we have a recommend a friend scheme which is currently very manual and involves printing out a voucher (who even owns a printer these days?) So, we want to capture details of referrer & referral on one form. to be presented to sales at point of sale.The only people that will have access to the form should be referrer & referee to ensure that people are qualified. We're conscious that  the referrer wont be able to fill out their friends info due to gdpr.what would be the easiest way to do this please?ideally we'd like to avoid a business change here, but i appreciate gdpr is what it is, but a form on a live link with multiple email address fields & salutations' fdor example could work but i currently see no way to do this in marketo. thanks! Hi,I had a question regarding Neverbounce results. I'm running a list of some leads through Neverbounce to see how many are not valid and take appropriate action. I see Neverbounce returns a lot of emails that fall in the Unverifiable and Unknown categories. I wanted to know as a best practice, how do you handle these result codes? Do you only keep the emails marked 'Valid' in the database? What's an appropriate course of action for the Unverifiable and Unknown categories of emails?  Thanks,Shweta.

Hi Marketo Community,  We are trying to configure Marketo Sales Insights (MSI) in Salesforce and are getting this error message "Diagnostics Test Failed!Required fields are not configured in:<ul><li></li></ul>" on the config page. Is there a way to troubleshoot and understand what required fields are not configured? Hi,If a Smart List is used to add recipients to an Engagement Program stream, is the recipients criteria reevaluated at each step of the stream i.e. can someone drop off the stream because they no longer pass the Smart List criteria?  I think I have read that Subscription status is reviewed at each step, but I wasn't clear if all of the Smart List criteria is.Assuming that the Smart List criteria is applied at each step, is it best practice to populate a static list and use that to add recipients to the stream? Thanks in advance. 

Hi experts!  Looking to see what others are doing/collaborate on a solution for ungated asset UTM tracking. We have ungated assets and would like to stamp the UTM value for all assets. The gated assets were easy to set up. We have a global asset download form with hidden fields that will pull in those parameters. Is there a similar/easy way to do the same with ungated assets? Since they do not have a form, I can't just use hidden fields. I have seen some information on potentially using some automation to submit a hidden form for ungated assets but don't have the best grasp on the developer side of things.  How can we pull in the utm values without a form?

  Is there any insight as to the cause of this error that popped up when saving an email draft in Adobe Marketo Engage? "Unable to create draft version. The email name exceeds the maximum character limit. Please shorten the name and try again." The email name was relatively short, and no longer any eixsting. The error simply resolved itself after trying to save again.  There does not appear to be any documentation regarding this error. Thanks!

So totally frustrating, and I've been trying to work around this since we started using Marketo. Every time I want to sub out or swap an image in the library/landing page, it NEVER SHOWS UP correctly on the pages.  Even the preview in the library looks wrong, but when I am in the landing page editor and try to swap image, the correct image shows in THAT preview window - but then I still see the OLD image on the page!  I have tried different screen refreshes, and sometimes it works and other times not.  I gave up trying to "replace" the image in the library, so then started deleting the original file and uploading the new file (named exactly the same).  This isn't working either. It's still remembering the old image.I've tried viewing in both IE adn CHROME. Neither works. It's like trying to work blindly and waiting until it decides to "kick in."  Anyone experience this, or found a solution??

We are stuck in initial sync setup between Marketo - D365 integration. Error thrown is ERROR : The subscription does not have username or password. 

On our pubic site https://www.ease.com/ when a user clicks on BOOK YOUR DEMO the marketo form pops up and sometimes everything looks and works as expected - other times the form repeats itself and when users fill it out and click submit nothing happens.  I've been able to duplicate this where in chrome everything works fine and in edge the form duplicates.
