Adobe Marketo Engage

Hello, How do I set up cookie-based UTM tracking in Marketo? I want to be able to track source even if a person navigates away from the URL with the UTM parameters. Is it possible to track, if UTM URL parameters not in URL, set cookie values, and if UTM URL parameters is present, set those.

Marketo does not track repeated open/send activities with the same emails. If the same email is sent to a person record multiple times, the only open/sent data activity will be logged 1x per record. I have a really awkward workaround where I build smart lists :was sent email minimum 1 time and then another for 2 times and so on until i get an idea of how many people were sent the email. This is ok but there is no way to get the open rate for these emails, just sent. I send a lot of transactional emails and customers will get the same email several times a month. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, 

Consideration is being given to implementing Salesforce CDP (specifically MC-Data Cloud for Marketing). Not being particularly familiar with it, I'm being asked what will it take to integrate Data Cloud with Marketo. Has anyone done it? Are you making the CDP segments available to Marketo via custom objects directly? Trying to quickly get my head around this so any advice you provide will be very helpful. Thanks, Sheila

Filtering ProgramMembers using the "reachedSuccess" boolean field works with "true"/"false" values.

We have a running triggered smart campaign that consists of multiple "send email" steps separated by wait steps. We added a "call webhook" step before the first wait step (the smart campaign was still active) - intending for all new users entering the campaign to begin having the webhook fired. However, as soon as we added the webhook, it caused all existing users in the flow (anyone currently in a wait step) to immediately have the webhook fired and then proceed to the next step in the flow again.For example:1. A user was on step 11 of the flow2. We added a "call webhook" step as step 33. The user in step 11 (wait step) immediately had the webhook called4. The user progressed to step 4 (an email they had already received - it "sent" but did not deliver), and then went to step 5 (another wait step).Are "Call webhook" steps supposed to operate this way (violate the order of an active smart campaign flow) or is this a bug?

Hi, So I'm trying to GET the pagingToken to later fetch some email reports. I need the pageToken for this but it will only give out a ":censored:" Next Page Token. These are my fields:URL: localhost/rest/v1/activities/pagingtoken.json (annonymizing my address) Query String Parameters: sinceDatetime=2024-04-12T12:00:00Z Response would be:{"requestId":"3e6e#29236e43b3a","success":true,"nextPageToken":":censored:65:2d0ad1a30b:"} (some data have been changed for privacy reasons) Is there anything I'm missing? I've also tried to put the access token as a form of authentication but keeps "censoring" my Next Page Token 😞 Thanks! 

Hi all,Wondering if anyone has found a smoother way to accomplish sharing leads with external vendors. We have a sponsored webinar coming up with an external vendor, SecureWorld. We host the main webinar landing page (using a Marketo form on Plasmic) to have control over the branding and send our own confirmation and reminder emails. The external vendor also has their own landing page and hosts the event on ON24. In the past, we've used our own landing page and then used Zapier to automatically add these leads to a Google Sheet shared with the vendor. The vendor then has had to upload the list so registrants are able to log in to the webinar. We also have to manually upload any registrants from their landing page. A few issues we've run into:- Last minute registrants on our landing page aren't uploaded on their end and can't log in to the webinar. They then register on the vendor's landing page and we have duplicate leads (sometime with the same email address and sometim

Hey all! My new SVP came from a company that for each MQL, they created a new lead in SFDC for sales to work and then convert into the existing contact when they were ready to create an opp. The intent of this was for tracking if sales was working the leads properly without building additional automation on the contact object. I want to note this is in a B2B environment as well.  My question is, has anyone else seen or done this? All of my peers I have spoken to have advised against it, and my initial reaction was in line with that too. But hearing that it was done with success at a previous company I am approaching this with a open mind and looking to find out more!  My reservations are:If we force a duplicate, is there any way to tell Marketo to always put the latest activity to the newest lead, my understanding is it will attach activity to whichever its algorithm finds first. If we create duplicates how can we make sure to avoid any sync errors for hav

Hi all, Just wanted to know the comunnity's opinion on this.Right now we do list uploads for our tradeshows in which we change their statuses to the ones we have (e.g. attended, no show, etc) As of now, we are using one list upload for every program status. I've thought on referencing those Program Statuses in one column to match  PMCF and have an internal campaign run that to change their status depending on that value. Wondered if any other could think of a more effective way of doing this. If we add them directly as members of the campaign, I'm afraid we can only select 1 status... Any brainstorming would be appreciated, thanks!

Hello.I recently received a response from Nation and with the help of an engineer at the support center.I understood that the campaign folder only aggregates emails from smart campaigns inside the folder.However, I have additional questions, so I'm asking you one more question. What I would like to ask you additionally is that if there are multiple child campaign folders within one parent campaign folder, does the email statistics in the parent campaign folder aggregate emails from your own smart campaign and all the smart campaigns within the child campaign folder?Assuming the answer to the above question is 'true', I checked my instance and it was not. When I checked on my instance, The email data found in the child campaign folder(New Campaign Folder) is not visible in the parent campaign folder(Jiwon Heo folder), but it is visible in the grand parent campaign folder(Marketing Internal Training folder).Can you tell me why it is confirmed like this?I attached a screenshot w
