Adobe Marketo Engage

is it possible to filter program name or id when exporting activities through api? either rest/v1/activities.json or bulk/v1/activities/export/create.json it's returning mixed activities for all campaigns

After failing to filter on a Salesforce Custom Object, which is two levels down from either Contact or Account in a Person Account Setup, I am wondering if the 2 levels-down rule for custom object access for Marketo does not apply to Salesforce Person Accounts. I tried all kinds of avenues to filter for records with the CO in Marketo, trying all kinds of lookup relationships in SFDC, as well as syncing the custom objects in all possible ways via contact and Account in the Marketo SFDC schema sync. The SFDC setup is: Person Account (Account + Contact) -> Junction CO -> CO(The Junction CO has 2 lookup relationships one to Account and one to Contact) So far in Marketo, nothing brings up records with a related CO in a smart list.(using "has CO"-Filter, or using "has Junction Object" filter with "with CO field" constraint)Marketo can "see" the CO records (it shows corresponding SFDC & Marketo rows in the schema details of the CO)Also, Marketo is showing records in s

Hey guys, it's me again with another topic related to Marketo's wonderful E-Mail Design capabilities 😄  This time I have a question about fallback buttons in Outlook – a frustrating topic I guess but maybe some of you can give us useful tips and hints (apologies if there already are discussions regarding this topic – I couldn't really find relevant discussions which weren't from years ago or had a real 'solution' to this).  I know that there is more than 1 possible way of handling buttons in Outlook. Since we are using Stripo to design our Emails, we make use of their "outlook-button-functionality" (which basically is the VML solution from what I know).  Our CTAs consist of 2 variable parts users can fill out within the Marketo Editor – that's the CTA ButtonText and the CTA ButtonLink. We use this solution instead of the "mktoText" Fields as the changes have to be made in both variants of our button - outlook and all the other clients – and if

We are getting leads sent over from a third party vendor, I would like to put them on "marketing hold" if they are new to our database? Is there a way to determine this using filters? There doesn't seem to be a if "person is created today" option.

When cloning a campaign, has anyone experienced the issue of contacts being incorrectly added to the engagement from the issue that was cloned? This appears to have occurred in a recent campaign of ours that uses a Salesforce integration to create engagement lists.

TLDR: Seeking advice on how to structure our association's retention email campaigns. I work at an association management organization with recurring annual membership retention programs (on a yearly cycle) and recurring certification programs (on a three year cycle). Up until now, we were working with dozens of custom objects from an older data management system. We're currently transitioning to Salesforce, so will soon have the Marketo/Salesforce integration open with more reliable/consistently updated data.  Right now we have default programs using filters to run daily batch campaigns based on the expiration date for the specific membership or certification. Hi all,After our developer edited our email template, all of the emails using that template are now giving me the "Cannot Load Email" error. When I preview the draft, it's as if I'm looking at all of the modules with sample text and images instead of seeing the email that was previously designed. In my experience, changes to modules didn't break the email. Does anyone know what might be happening here and if there's a fix?Thanks!

Our pipeline development team often uses MSI to send emails to larger groups of contacts (between 25-100) for specific 'campaigns' they are running. For example, they may send a webcast invite to 40 of their contacts, or one of our premier pieces of content to a group of 100 clients.  I've created a template for each pipeline development rep that allows for customized signatures, and they have no issue actually sending these emails. However, getting any reporting on opens/clicks is an issue. I can get the reporting on the actual email, but because there is no way to tell what message was sent. So in the example above, I can get them metrics on on all 140 emails sent, but I can't break it down by the webcast or content.  Has anyone been able to provide better tracking on sales insight emails? I'm trying to increase adoption of this tool for a lot of good reasons, but unless they can see the results of their efforts - at the 'campaign' level, some would rather just us

Has anyone installed their dynamic chat instance on their staging environment? We want to test it before placing it on our live site, but nothing happens when we tried to install it on our staging environment. It's a different domain from our live site, so i'm wondering if there's something that needs to be done before we add in the JavaScript snippet to our staging environment.

Hello all,I was wondering if anyone had any experience using first or last name for dedupe rules.Here is the use case we are trying to solve for:Our Marketo database is updated whenever someone places an ecommerce order in case they have updated contact info. We discovered some of our customers use a generic/shared email address (ex. info@company.com) which means their contact info gets completely overwritten each time they place an order.If we use first or last name as another dedupe field, it could result in each different person using the shared email address to have their own contact in Marketo, which would help us with connecting to the right contact in SFDC (which is tied to our ERP/order system). Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve (or mostly solve) it? Thanks,Justin

Is there any hacky way to have an email performance report that shows both email, and segment? I'm trying to segment for 100+ emails, so don't want to group by language/segment in each individual email and then combine. Hoping there's a way to have the email names, and an additional layer. FWIW - there was pretty much the exact same question asked here 5 years ago, hoping someone has solved since. (here's the last one: I feel like i know the answer to this, but is there a way to pull an email performance report that is grouped by segmentation, with the level above that being by email?) Thanks in advance! 

I can't find any documentation that defines what a web page is in Marketo. For example, when someone stays on a page for +10 seconds, The would qualify as a visit? I saw that a session is 30 minutes in Marketo, but I am not certain those are the same things. Any additional info would help, as we are trying to track and apply lead scoring to certain pages on our website, but the numbers aren't making a whole lot of sense.
