Adobe Marketo Engage

I'd like to see an EASY way to prevent a collection of leads from synching to CRM. My present issue is leads from embargoed countries. I don't even want them in SFDC. I'd also like an easy way to setup these designations - e.g. in a lead partition, or members of a program, etc.I would also use this for other scenarios such as staff, testers, etc. There are a variety of situations where this would be extremely helpful. The thought of having to go in and retrofit hundreds of campaigns to add in exclusion steps for something like this is depressing.

Hi, When I, as an admin, receive a Marketo ALERT email about a person who filled out a Contact-Us form, I want to be able to approve or reject this person directly from the alert. My idea to you is to add the ability to have CTA buttons or simple links in an alert, that when clicked, will activate Triggered Smart-Campaigns. Thanks, Edo

The purpose of this idea is to gather all requirements for the next level of program token management. Here they are :New types of tokens required :URL token types () so that managing URLs for CTAs no longer requires a 1 page how-to guideImage / File token types, so that updating a image in a email or LP can be done easily without error ()Form tokens types to enable changing the form in an LP without editing the LP. See List and smart list tokens ()Formula tokens ()All tokens providing program information, tags etc... ()Multi line text tokens (not rich text, but just multi-line)List of values tokens ( Thx @Andrew Sielen)Select field tokens, so that the standard user cloning programs has the possibility to choose values within a limited list (in conjunction with limited rights, see below). I really would like static lists to be sharable across workspaces, similar as smart lists, snippets, templates etc. are shared.

For webinars and events, or any other gated content, we're creating landing pages that we wish to "expire" after the time of event. For that matter, after an event or a webinar, we need to keep in mind to redirect the URL of the landing page to our website general events / webinars pages. It would be great if there would be a way to schedule the redirection in advance, to choose date and time in order for the redirection to be automatic and that way we don't have to wait for after the event and do it manually, plus, avoid forgetting doing it. Surely it's an easy task for Adobe developers.

It's really great that Marketo has durable unsubscribe, and my team would love it if you also had durable email invalid.   We would love to be able to clean email invalids out of our Marketo instance, and know that we'd never email those folks again, even if they somehow got re-imported. (We have some teams that are more experienced with list imports and salesforce syncs than others).   Would it be possible to apply the same "durable" functionality to email invalid as is in place for unsubscribe?   Thank you!

There are two main issues for me with the GTW plugin:It does not pull in Attended OnDemand status info from  GTW. We make our past webinars available on our website, and I'd like to capture stats from that in the original webinar to show a more complete ROI on the webinar. It does not support Series and Sequence creation types from GTW. This caused a real problem recently. Not knowing this was not supported, I created a Series webinar (one webinar, 3 dates, bc when the webinar content is the same, that's substantially easier in GTW). I then created my events in marketo, and lo and behold, each date instance showed up in my list, implying that connecting to that webinar date would, in fact, populate my registered, attended, etc status field as the plugin does for single webinars. I happily created my reg forms, again thinking it would all connect up as usual. Not so much. I had to go MANUALLY transfer registered folks from Marketo to GTW (and no, I could not just re-create the webinars a

I would like to see some kind of provisioning with our SSO connection.  Preferably it would be full api provisioning with Okta, however in liu of that, I would accept JIT provisioning with attribute consumption from the SAML statement for group digestion and mapping.

When looking at a SmartCampaign summary screen, sometimes either the Last Modified User or the Created By user is blank on the below screen. Support has said that the reason is because this user has been deleted from our users list. However, this screen should show the history of a campaign - no matter if the person was removed from Marketo or not - and because this value is missing it feels from an experience perspective that Marketo may be "missing data" or be somehow broken. To resolve this perception, just show some indication of the user who modified/created the asset.  I think showing the person's name (even if they were deleted) is perfectly acceptable and would clarify the history of campaigns.

Greetings!Marekto is integrated with Salesforce CRM in my organization. Many time it happens that we run into Exceeded API limit problem where Marketo consumes all the API calls from salesforce. but there is no reporting at Marketo end that can show which sync/ campaign/ program caused it. Would be very helpful if such report can be developed by Marketo. It leaves me in a very uncomfortable situation where something like this happens and there is no way to figure out what exactly caused the issue and how many api calls were consumed.

If you have duplicate lead records in Marketo, it's important to know which record Marketo considers the "active" record.  Consider the following example:Sending Batch EmailsIf there are duplicates within your email list, only one email will go out. It will be the lowest Marketo ID (created first). This record is also used to populate tokens.  Example:CreatedUpdatedMarketo IDFirst nameEmail3/13/20104/13/20102749Elizabethbeth@company.com12/15/20123/15/201610936Bethbeth@company.comIn this case, the email will be sent to the first record with Marketo ID 2749. It will say “Dear Elizabeth” if you use a token for first name. Also, the activity entries will be attached to that record (sent, delivered, opened, clicked). When the email click goes to a page with Munchkin code in it, any web visits will also be associated with this record.[EDIT 1/30/2018]: apparently this is not the case.  As you can see below in the latest comments, @Aaron Dear uncovered a serious issue/bug - esp

I see a few old ideas in here about this topic from many years ago, but can't seem to vote them up so creating a new one. It would be great if Marketo allowed users to share Marketo calendars with people who do not have access to Marketo -- ideally with a read-only URL. I'd also like to be able to set up subscriptions that will send updated calendars to select people via email.  A large majority of the Marketing stakeholders at my company do not have access to Marketo. That means, in order to share a calendar with them, I need to send a screenshot of what we have going for a given time period. This does not provide an automated/real-time option, and sort of defeats the purpose of the Marketo calendar. Without the ability to share read-only calendars to non-Marketo users, the Marketo calendar offers limited functionality and in my opinion, is not a truly viable marketing calendar solution.

With the latest Update in Salesforce Sales Cloud Spring '20, tasks can finally get assigned to Lead Queues: Please implement necessary Changes to leverage thisSales Owners field should also pull in Lead Queue info, or reference in some other way.e.g: Sales/Lead Owner First Name =  "Lead Queue"; Sales/Lead Owner Last Name = "actual sfdc queue name"         or at least pull in the queue email into the Sales/Lead Owner Email field so they can be referencedTasks should be assignable to Lead Queues as well, not only usersRelease Not Update FYR:https://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/spring20/release-notes/rn_sales_productivity_activities_task_queues.htm

From a quality and compliance standpoint, admins should be able to restrict the ability for certain user roles to press (or even see) the "Edit Code" button in the Email editor.

Emojis are not a documented supported feature in Marketo, and while they aren't for every audience there are a lot of promising test results that show they can be effective at helping emails stand out. Many benefits to using emojis are outlined in this Marketo blog post:blog.marketo.com/2015/05/marketers-rejoice-emoji-marketing-is-here.htmlIt would be great to have this as a supported feature. Other ESPs have recently introduced support for emojis and initial test results and it's something I would like to be able to test out in Marketo. Vote this up if you feel the same.

Being able to select Email Operational as a Filter and as a Row within Revenue Explorer would make it easier to filter just marketing emails and to see the performance of Operational Emails without having to rely on naming convention.

For smart list subscriptions, it would be nice if we would be able to edit the link expiration time frame to more/less than 4 days. Each subscription could have a different amount of time that you want it to be able to be viewed.

In Salesforce Lightning, there is the standard object Opportunity Contact Role.  Standard fields from this object appear in the Opportunity information in Marketo, but it would be great to be able to sync custom fields as well.  Right now there is no way to do this in Marketo, and we're having to sync an entirely custom object to retrieve the relevant information.

It would be beneficial when setting up a smart list subscription that we had an option to select the minimum number of leads required in order to trigger the list send for that day. This would be useful for exception reporting. For example, I created a smart list to catch all records who are missing a Country Value. Now usually in my database, 100% of the records have a country value, so I don't really care to get a subscription report reminding me that there are still only 0 leads in that report. I'd like to only be sent an email via subscription if that number is 1 or greater. is this possible?

It would be great if the Salesforce.com Campaign Name or ID could be included in the program performance report, or at the very least, in the program reports in the Revenue Explorer. Salesforce.com is our main record of truth, and often we have to reconcile campaign activity with program activity (we sync all of our programs over as SFDC Campaigns). Often, a program name gets changed, updated after the initial sync to Salesforce.com, and there is no way to do an easy match to find the existing Salesforce.com campaign.

Marketo should work on to add feature to compare two similar type of tokens in the smart campaigns as as of now if I have to do the cross token comparison I have to set up a webhook for this and calling the webhook increases the processing time as well as it adds a external dependency on webhook so now we have to work to make our webhook implementation optimised along with marketo implementation. Thanks 🙂

As an admin of a mature Marketo Org, it would be extremely helpful to be able to specify what time zone date fields are adhering to when creating lists or global administration campaigns.  They can adhere to the instance-wide setting unless you specifically manually change it.  I know I can change my personal user timezone, but date fields in lists and campaigns still adhere to the instance-wide timezone setting.  It makes it difficult, if not impossible, to filter on date fields for time zones that are not the same as your instance setting. As a use case: we're creating a local data mart of Marketo data, and when we pull it using API, it's in GMT/ZULU format.  It's not possible to compare this exported list of people against Marketo's GUI without changing the instance-wide timezone to match. Alternatively, allow us to perform date calculations.

(Cheers to @Matthew Fellows for reminding me about this one!)When using the "Send Sample" functionality directly from an email template to test code, several switches happen which actually break the email:There's a doctype switch which occurs on the email itself: the email will go from <!doctype html> to <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">Any meta tags or variables defined in the template are removed.Any parent container tags for mktoModules are removed. That is to say, if you have an email module defined as  <table class="mktoModule" [...]><tr><td></td></tr></table> it will only render everything from the table row onwards. This results in the email usually going lopsided and looking bad. While the recommended solution here is usually to create a test email, this is very confusing for email template developers who don't have a ton of Marketo experience. Can this behavior be chan

I wish you could send mass test emails. Suggestion: the ability to send test emails from the program level, check a box next to each email in the program you would like to send as a test, and send all of those tests to the same internal person or people.

Generally I think marketo is a fantastic product, but the thing I'm finding really lets it down is its speed. Sometimes I do very basic queries and I have to go make a few cups of tea before it has run. Can I please request that you invest more in your servers and concentrate on getting the speed issue fixed. If you do this, you'll easily have the best product in the market (I've used alot of the others!)Cheers
