Hi, I have a few questions about setting up streams and cadences for the Engagement program as a beginner. I’d appreciate it if you could provide some answers.  Question1: What happens to leads who finish consuming all the content in a stream but do not progress to the next phase?Question2: If the number of available content pieces is limited and leads consume all of them, are they simply left unattended until the next content is ready? Are there any suggestions, such as connecting them to other programs?Question3: I’ve heard that cadence settings in streams do not allow excluding holiday delivery. How do you handle this? Do you just proceed with sending emails on holidays?Question4: If an engagement program is temporarily paused during periods like the New Year, how is the delivery schedule recalculated when the program resumes?Thanks!  

Hello!I'm building out a template of programs tied to event invites and registration from our website. Currently there is two programs that would utilize either Tokens or Velocity to pull in similar information into the emails from both programs. Since there is no ability to clone entire folders - I was curious if there's a good recommendation on the best way to minimize the amount of "duplicate" tokens/scripting across both programs?Do I have to put them in the top-top level Marketing Activities folder? Is there a cleaner way?Before anyone asks - we're using a tool within Kentico CMS that pushes form data to Marketo, but it only puts Leads into the First Status of the program, so requires a separate "Auto-Response" program from our Event Invitation program 🙂 So the "single program" concept does not work at this present moment.

I have done AB testing for multiple campaigns. Subject lines, whole emails and Send Name. Now I want to create a detailed reporting for all the campaigns. How to do this?

Hi all, recently implemented Bizible and running into something that is majorly impacting reporting, wondering if anyone has found a solution. If an opportunity is created without a marketing interaction (by sales, a connected system, SalesOps for retention customers, etc.), then the opp does not have any OC touchpoints. Then, when a person on that opp engages after the fact, Bizible is backfilling that touchpoint data as the OC. This is causing a major inflation on marketing-influenced opportunities that were actually already created. Support said we would need to turn off BATs as the solution, but we are not willing to do that. We are toying with some SFDC flows to populate dummy values, but that feels like a bandaid and we would prefer not to. Anyone else find a solution to this?

Hi allI'm looking for any insight from organisations that shifted their Marketo marketing automation function from 'centre of excellence' managed, to a less centralised model, e.g. with BAU campaigns in the hands of a wider team. Has anyone got experience of this journey and can share any high-level findings - how long the shift took, did it have any impact on eg turnover in the wider function, what does the ongoing training need take - and critically, with quality and risk in mind, was it successful?

Hello folks, I have a quick doubt on a specific scenario while setting up nurtures in marketo. I need to set up nurture in a way that if someone enters the nurture through a specific piece of content (maybe through an adhoc email from an email send campaign), don’t send that person the email related to that content again as they’ve already seen it. How do I exclude this in my nurture set up. Since there can be so multiple campaigns with a similar piece of content, can be one off email send, could be from a recurrence campaign etc. How do I make sure to exclude these without manually checking what those campaigns or pieces of contents are. Is there a way I can do this in one go with a logic? Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Hello, While paging through /rest/asset/v1/folders.json using the offset parameter, we are seeing duplicate folder ids in later pages that were returned in earlier pages. E.g. With a maxReturn=200 and offset=0, we get folder id 130 in the results. Then with the same maxReturn=200 and offset=200, we again get folder 130 in the results. This is breaking our existing integration we built and not sure why this API is now providing records shown in earlier pages in later pages. Any idea what might be behind this? Has Marketo broken paging in their API to now not page properly?

I was hoping to get some insight on how I could create a field that would show who the modifying user is when records are created. We have a number of pipelines used and when troubleshooting issues/data, I thought it would be really helpful to be able to pull lists by who the modifying user was rather than going one by one into records and checking their activity logs.

Hi,  I built an email with a snippet that is using segmentation. The segmentation is visible in Marketo email editor, in the email preview and upon email send, but if I click View in Browser of the segmented snippet email, it reverts back to the default view of the segmented snippet. Is this a Marketo bug?In the past, segmentations I've done regularly without the use of a snippet appear correctly in View in Browser.Can anything be done? Which is: 'Multiple sends from the same campaign to the same person are counted only once.' There was a post back in 2021 regarding this particular topic, but so far, no one has provided a possible walk around: https://nation.marketo.com/t5/ideas/the-email-performance-report-is-inaccurate/idi-p/318557Our question is: As part of our business practices, we are required to provide monthly and annual email performance reporting, including email performance for content that may have previously been sent to a lead (could be multiple times, not just a single email send). How can we ensure that our email performance report reflects all activity within the given period? I've recently inherited a Marketo instance where they have Zoom integrated for webinar use. The integration is set up via our IT contact and their Zoom admin account, where they have provisioned one of our marketing users (Marketo admin) as an enabled webinar user in Zoom.  That is the account where the webinars are being created. (I have always historically just used the same Zoom admin account for both the integration and the webinars themselves but theoretically both should work...right?) Issue #1: I first noticed that none of the attendance data was syncing back to the Marketo after the event (they are manually marking attended/no show after the event). I have never had any issues with this in the past -- any ideas why this feature would not be working? Issue #2: As of this week, the integration seems to have failed completely and no matter how many times we re-authenticate, we cannot successfully mark anyone as registered. Hello,I have a smart list with people that I need to pause from ANY of the current nurture programs. Is there a way to pause them all at once for ALL of the nurtures? I don't see such possibility in the "Change engagement program cadence" flow step - as it requires to put specific program name each time in the dropdown... Is there a workaround for this? Same applies to changing their stream or program status. Any ideas?Thanks

I am looking to understand what the standard field, "Marketo Unique Code" is. Does anyone have experinece with this field? To clarify, this is different than MarketoID. I am looking for a field that I can pass a randomly-generated alpha-numeric field value to and am exploring options for doing this. I saw some points about this field in the forum, but can't find much information about it.Do all records in Marketo have a Marketo Unique Code? I can't find the field on the record layout so just trying to learn more about it.Thanks! 

Good afternoon, I would like to understand how to reference a Text Token within an Email Script Token, both within the same Email Program. The Email Program contains 3 Text tokens that are used to set UTM values - {{my.UTM-Campaign}}, {{my.UTM-Source}}, & {{my.UTM-Medium}} - and each token contains a string value, e.g. em_20241113, mkto & email-organic. These tokens are used elsewhere within the Program and email content but I would also like to utilise them in an Email Script token also within the same Program. For context, the Email Script Token builds href URLs to be inserted into HTML, using a combination of hard coded elements, lead fields (language & country) and Product IDs, which are extracted from a SFDC Custom Product Object linked to the Person object, i.e. each person can have multiple product preferences and the email displays an image and Product name for each associated product both with the constructed URL included to allow recipients to

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to pull a report on programs which shows the program owner in a column? We currently have program owner set up as a tag. I can see in the program performance report that I can select each owner one by one but what I'd really like is to have the program owner tag value displayed as a column on this report. The goal is to provide a list of active programs to each owner so they can confirm which ones are good to archive. Thanks in advance for any creative solutions to this challenge!

Hello, I am trying to build an influence over opportunities report but it's kind of complex. What we are trying to do is to create a report that is more "Account oriented" rather than "person oriented", it means that we would like to consider as influenced all the opportunities associated to an account whenever a person from that account reaches the status of "Success" in any marketing activity, regardless of whether they are existing contacts in our CRM (Dynamics) or new leads. Does anyone has any idea if this is doable or not? 

Hello, I created a campaign in Salesforce and then added a member status that we initially did not have. That status is "Opened". In Marketo, I went to Admin, Tag, Channel and for the "Email Outbound" channel, I unhid the "Opened" status.  Then when I go to my email program where I have triggers to update the Salesforce Campaign Member Statuses depending on the action the person takes in that email. For my trigger looking at email opens, the campaign member status "Opened" doesn't show up in the dropdown.New update, when I went into Salesforce to look at my "Opened" status that I added yesterday, it was gone! Can Marketo delete member statuses that are in Salesforce??  Thank you for the help!Alexandra

I have two sets of global forms right now - one for use on landing pages and one for use on our website. We initially set it up this way because the website forms had slightly different needs than the landing page ones, but that is no longer the case. Before I sunset one set of forms and start using just the other set, is there a good reason to keep them separate that I'm not considering? Once I combine them, it will be more work to separate them again if I need to. Do y'all use just one set of forms for both use cases, or do you split them?

Marketo won't send out email template drafts today, November 14th, 2024. Two of us in our company are having the same issue. I've tried work and personal email addresses.

When I add a url to a cta button, the link starts with https. But the link is converted to http when I hover over the cta in the sample email.
