Adobe Marketo Engage

Hey,we are trying to use a single Marketo Form on the website that presents multiple gated assets.  And we would like to pass a value on the form for which asset was downloaded. We are struggling to determine mechanism to pass that value - which specific asset is being downloaded. Each asset listed on this page has a "Learn more" button which is a java script code, based on which a pop-up with a centralized form opens.Any ideas? Hi Team , I am willing to create an A/B testing setup for our batch and blast email sends through a smart campaign. We use a smart campaign because we send 4-5 emails each month as part of a monthly campaign setup. I researched several blogs and posts, which suggested that A/B testing for batch and blast can only be done through the options in the email program setup tab, as shown below. I also discovered a champion/challenger approach, which is only applicable in engagement programs or for triggers. I would like to know if we can implement A/B testing for our batch and blast emails using the individual smart campaigns we utilize for our monthly sends. Looking forward to some option if they are available to leverage within the smart campaign for us to leverage and some documents if you could share which will guide us in the correct direction Regards,Akshat

Hi - not sure if this is possible, but I'd like to have a mailto link open up from a landing page and have that link populate the send to email address from the {{lead.Lead Owner Email Address}}.  Basically the call to action is contact your rep, and by clicking the link it opens an email addressed to the record owner.  Is this possible?

Hey all,We have some programs like Lead Generation or New Debit Card Ordered that are sort of evergreen ones that someone could go through more than once.I'm looking for recommendations on how to best set this up in order to potentially keep some sort of Program Status tracking in place while still allowing the Lead to go through the flow?I understand that the Lead cannot go backwards in a Program Status Step, but is there a way to allow for someone to go through Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 and then still start from Step 1 if they qualify without removing them from the program completely?The only other thing I can think of is creating Static Lists and assigning the Lead to those lists when they hit each Status and then removing them from the Program - but this doesn't really allow for quick at-a-glance views of Program Success. 

HiI'm very new to velocity scripting and I'm looking for some help. Here is my use case:Our customers often want to know what the carbon footprint of our products will be for their particular project. We have a carbon calculator which will do the calculation for them and offer alternative. We offer to send them the data by email.They may request more than one set of data at different times.The email should trigger when the customer fills out the form with their name email company etc.The velocity script will need to target the most recently added custom object for any given customer record and display all the targeted fields in the custom object in a table. The html part is no problem, but the script part is. I've read some of the developer docs, but I can't see the wood for the trees... Any help would be gratefully received.Thanks

Marketo Engage and AEM Assets (Adobe’s own DAM) do not natively integrate.Not gracefully. Not meaningfully. Not in any way that reflects a “unified ecosystem.” And this isn’t a hot take—it’s an old one. This gap has been flagged by marketing ops folks for years. We’ve been asking. We’ve been waiting. We keep doing the normal things to try to keep our database clean (nearly all marketable contacts and getting non-marketable out when possible), but we keep growing and going over our limits. The problem is - when I'm doing a search of using the parameters below, it shows we've got plenty we could either remove or remarket. But - are my parameters even any good?1. Person was Created - on or before (2 years ago)- AND-2. Microsoft Type is not (Lead; Contact) - AND-3. Not Had Interesting Moment - Type is empty, Date of Activity in past 2 years- AND - 4. We offer free samples of our products to customers. I am looking to move the sending of our samples order confirmation email to Marketo (it currently sends from our CMS). What is the best method of getting the required data into Marketo to add (probably via tokens) onto the email. We need to include the name and company of the person requesting the samples, any alternative (delivery) contact name and address (these may or may not be different to the person making the request, and the samples ordered. We might want to utilise the products requested at a later time to trigger other campaigns or add to a nurture stream.I hope that all makes sense, any advice gratefully received.

Early February Adobe brought the new Email Designer to Marketo. The UI of this new designer is a much welcomed improvement to what we have been used to. There are lots of things in there to be enthusiastic about. The way fragments can be stored as independent ‘modules’ for re-use and the high level of flexibility in being able to lock content are already great features. Not to even start about the fact you can create your own templates without much in terms of html experience. Yet, there are questions to be answered with the current release.   So, what is available right now? In Marketo instances that have migrated to the new Adobe IMS, any user can be granted access to the new Email Designer. With that access, you can create and edit both email templates and emails using the new UI. We’re building out an account-based referral program for a client. The program lets people invite colleagues to in-person events. It’s like “Forward to Friend” on PEDs.   An email preview needs to accompany the referral form, and rather than the huge time suck of manually creating thumbnail images, we realized the standard “View as Web Page” (VAWP) would be perfect if we could get it into an <iframe>: Turned out to be net-easy — though, as with many such projects, 10% harder than you might think!   Set up the HTML and CSS First, the <iframe> and some critical styles and attributes: <style> iframe#emailWebView { pointer-events: none; user-select: none; } </style> <iframe id="emailWebView" scrolling="no" tabindex="-1"></iframe> The HTML attributes scrolling and tabindex, together with those two CSS “event neutralizing” styles, make the <iframe> behave like a static image so it can’t be accidentally clicked or selected.*   Se

We are in the process of working on a prospect journey and are looking to use Marketo as our main omni-channel hub (where Marketo campaigns will be triggering other channels, ie. a marketo campaign that can trigger a social linked-in post to deploy with a 2 day wait step). I know that Marketing Cloud has this feature in their journeys to deploy social, probably through API's, but am looking to do this through Marketo. We have Sprout that we use for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram posts. Essentially, we are not looking for multiple channels to trigger at the same time but one flow that goes from email to linkedin post or message then another email then another channel. We are not looking to push a list of records from Marketo to social, like I am familiar with that Marketo can do. Demandbase suggests a 1:1 orchestration-to-Marketo program mapping. However, our high volume of orchestrations makes this approach challenging to manage, especially with frequent additions. We'd prefer to consolidate these into single programs based on business units. Currently, we use smart campaigns for Acquisition Programs, Form Fills, and MQLs. We're looking for best practices from others who have integrated Demandbase and Marketo. Specifically, we'd like to know how you manage a large number of orchestrations and what data you prioritize tracking.

Hi, I created a Success Path Analyzer report about two hours ago, but it is still stuck loading. I’ve tried using a different browser, incognito mode, and clearing the cache, but the issue persists. This is just a test, so there are only a few leads within the RCM.Does it typically take a few hours to become available after creation, or could this be an issue with my Marketo instance? Thanks for your help!

Hi,Does Marketo provide notification when a record has reached its communication limit? If not, is there any way to find out records that have reached communication limits? Also, what is the use of the block non-operational emails checkbox, in the enable communication limits setup? If we set it to "No", will setting the per day/per week limits help?

This is NOT the case. I am testing out the interactive webinars with Adobe connect integration. I am using my own email accounts to test but after successfully registering with the email address once, I receive the "Registration Error" status for any consecutive registrations under the same email address. The status reason is 'Error registering with webinar provider. exception='Failed to get the data from connect'.  When trying new email addresses the registration works correctly. Is this an issue with duplicates being created in Adobe Connect or is it a connection issue between Marketo Engage and Adobe Connect? 

California’s CCPA and CCRA require opt-in to share or sell personal data, so make sure you offer that setting alongside your existing cookie options. We recently created new program channel Event-New that we are using to capture some additional member status. In our CRM (Salesforce), we have several pre-defined Campaign Record Type (Private Label, Partnership, Speaking Engagement, etc.). It was pointed out to use that when we activate the Marketo --> Salesforce Campaign Sync, the Campaign Record Type gets updated to Event-New (the name of the program channel). We never noticed this before so wondering if this something new. We reached out to Support and was told that this was normal behavior when using the native Salesforce Sync and that there was no way to turn that part off. Is that true? Hoping someone has a some recommendations on best practices - should we create new program channels for each of the Campaign Record Type or not use the native sync function and instead use Flow steps to update campaign member statuses in Salesforce.
