For those of us in marketing operations who are wired to crave efficiency, governance and time-saving techniques, Marketo Engage tokens have always been a critical part of our process. Until recently, tokens could be created at a local (program) level or at the folder level within Marketing Activities. Fast forward to today, in addition to still having your tried-and-true local tokens, you now have the ability to create instance-wide tokens that can be applied across any program or folder!  You can add and edit global tokens by going to the Admin tab, navigating to the left-hand side navigation tree and clicking My Tokens. Here you can drag, drop and edit token types, names and values to your liking. Note that you have to have admin permissions to access this.  These tokens will now be available to use in any program when navigating to the program itself and clicking on the My Tokens tab.             &

Hello Marketo Community,We are looking at designing a custom backup framework for our Marketo instance, specifically focused on campaigns, flow steps, triggers, filters, etc. (not data or assets). We were looking at maybe using the Marketo REST API to regularly automate and extract campaign metadata and have the following questions: Has anyone else implemented something similar?Did you go with custom scripts or something hybrid?Any suggestions on structure?Were there any surprises with missing metadata, trigger logic not being accessible,  API limits or anything else we should be advised of?We are looking to make this as automated and modular as possible.Thanks in advance for feedback and examples if you don't mind sharing!E.D.

Hoping anyone can offer some insights. I'm trying to create a webhook that will insert an activity log entry on another instance. However I cannot even get the authentication token, the call times out. I'm wondering if the call between instances is possible at all or if I am setting up my webhook wrong. I've tried Get, and Post just to try it, but neither works. I can however setup webhooks to salesforce the same way and they work fine. Any help is appreciated.

Hi all, relatively new to Marketo so apologies if anything is unclear.I'm using tokens in the "From", "From Address", and "Reply To" fields to put in values from custom fields we've created for Account Managers' names and emails.As a result, the email with these tokens says it no longer uses the custom DKIM Signature, which, as I understand it, can affect deliverability(?)Does anyone know how to/if we can make it so that I am able to use the tokens without losing the custom DKIM signature?Any help is deeply appreciated. Hello! I created a report in Advanced BI Analytics and set up a report subscription the same way you do with RCA (through the Marketo analytics subscription tab). However, when I received the report, the attachment was a one page PDF of the report instead of an excel attachment. I'm guessing that this is because you can build multiple tables/charts within one report, and to export the data from a table, you have to click into the table, click the three dots, and click "Export data".  At the report level, the only export options are PDF and PPT. Is there any way to set up the subscription to send an excel file of all the tables in the report, or set up a subscription just for one table so it can send in excel format?  Thank you!

when i am trying to put multiple visulization based on filters in new bi report. when the data table is different , the data is not syceing based on filters but always gives overall number.

Hi all, I was wondering if it's possible to request from Marketo Support a Workspace copy from a Marketo Production instance into a new Marketo sandbox? Similar to the instance copy (as mentioned on this Marketo docs page) except for a single Workspace to be copied across rather than the entire production instance. This is because of a huge, long standing Marketo production instance, where we don't want the entire instance to be copied over, just one Workspace which houses the main operations is ideal to copy across. I'm aware of the Import Program feature, in this scenario the one Workspace we'd like to copy across has dozens of operational programs. So it would be very time consuming to go down this route.Anyone know if this is possible to request? Thanks.

Is there a significant limitation into the number of filters that can be applied to an attribute?  I'm only seeing two:Whereas in RCE, we were able to include up to 10 filters:Is it possible to use a syntax and place all of the filters in a single field - for example CONTAINS '2023-01' or '2023-02' or '2023-03'

Self Service flow steps (SSFS) are a powerful way to integrate with third party applications and to build custom workflows that can't be achieved in Marketo alone. Hi all  I am desperate to find a way to automatically send our registration list to sales once our trigger updates the contacts' status to 'no show' and 'attended'.  I already have smart list subscriptions set up on a daily basis, so sales can see who signed up the previous day before.  However, I would like to be able to send the full Excel registration list as soon as the webinar has taken place. Is there any way? Hello, I noticed several discrepancies when replicating the same reports between Classic Revenue Explorer  and Power BI Advanced Analytics when analytics Emails Open, Sent etc... For most campaign the discrepancy is relatively small +/- 2 over thousands of emails sent but for one campaign i have more, like 35 Delivered Emails on Classic Revenue Explorer and in Marketo Email Performance whilst i have 40 in Power BI Advanced Analytics. What could be the reason? I have used the same filtering on both Classic Revenue Explorer  and  Power BI Advanced Analytics (month of May and excluding internal emails) Thanks in advanced for your insights!Vincent

We have recently launched DC and so far, so good. But one thing we can't figure out is how to capture url parameters when a new or existing contact interacts with the dialogue. It's easy using a Marketo form, but I don't see that ability in DC.  This is important for reporting against campaigns, particularly when paid ads are driving traffic.  Thank you.

We use a tool called Drift to filter automated replies such as out of offices and spam before they hit our sales teams as we use their email addresses in the from and reply to aliases. However, we are reviewing our marcomm stack and would be interested in finding some alternatives to drift if anyone knows of any? Or know of a tool/platform that would achieve what is described above.

Here are the instructions to send a Birthday Message.  In this example, I am using the Date of Birth field which is automatically created when a new Marketo instance is created. It is automatically mapped to the SFDC Contact Birthdate field when Marketo is integrated with SFDC.  The field type is “date.”     You have to set up two smart campaigns since the lead token, {{lead.Date of Birth}}, can only be used in a trigger campaign.     Step 1. Create a trigger campaign with campaign is requested in the Smart List     Step 2.  Configure Wait Step in the Flow Add token {{lead.Date of Birth}}. Remember a token can only be used in a trigger campaign. Remember to click "Use next anniversary date" Set time for when you want the wait step to end. This will be the time the email will be sent out.     Step 3. Add Send Email to Flow   Step 4. Activate   Step 5. Next create a batch campaign with a request campaign in the fl
