I am looking to export data from form fills, I know you make a smart list but how do you see all the fields filled out and are you able to export that data?

Hi, Did anyone encountered an error Failure passed to redirect url. error=invalid_request error_description=missing required code challenge when trying to connect the Marketo sandbox to the dev environment of Salesforce? Any idea how to fix it? Marketo's support did not really help

I love the idea of the new Advance BI Analytics platform but am struggling with something pretty basic and hope someone can help me out.  I'm trying to build a Database Health dashboard to call out the items that need to be removed from Marketo.  This includes outright junk, people missing emails, Leads that were never converted, etc.  I can't figure out how to show a % of the total database for each of these items.  We can't create new measures so the approaches in the Power BI community are not viable.  How the heck do you create a card showing the % of total leads in my database that don't have email addresses? Has anyone undertaken this type of database health reporting exercise in the new reporting platform that could give me some tips?   

Hi Team , We have a field at opportunity level which is a custom field and we want to display that value in the body of the email , when we use velocity script in the email script token with that value it gives us 35000.0 , but we would like to display as 35,000 . Can you help me how this can be fixed ?

Like I used with RCA reports in Analytics.I saw somewhere it being mentioned it should be possible, but I must be blind or really missing something. Thank you

We need to build personalized emails using Custom Object data via a Velocity script. However, the Custom Object in question is related to the Account in SFDC, not directly to the Contact. Unfortunately, SalesOps has been unable to create a new custom object that would mirror this data and relate directly to the Lead or Contact.Is there another way to achieve our goal? Specifically, could we sync the custom object data into Marketo and then use a Smart Campaign to populate custom Person fields, which could then be used as personalization tokens in the email?Also, the current Marketo instance has only two custom objects provisioned, and one is already in use.

Hi everyone. As a one-person Marketo "department", I am learning new things about the instance I inherited. One is that our CRM and Marketo do not communicate - there is a daily file transfer that appears to be customer data (name, email, etc) and custom object (type of account, when opened, etc) that captures any new customers and places them into a workflow (existing Onboarding Journey). Our I.T. Department sends me spreadsheets for both as a way to check the data transferred if I want or need.That said, I have completed a new customer onboarding journey that I'd like to test using fake test data that mirrors the two spreadsheets.The field that ties both spreadsheets together is called, CIF, and I think I need to exclude this from a list import of the customer data. When I upload the custom object spreadsheet, I will need to include CIF.Needless to say, I am a bit apprehensive in uploading the spreadsheets and testing the data. Hi!I am trying to clean up all the images and files in the Design Studio that we upload to Marketo. When selecting multiple items at one time and hitting the "move" button, I keep getting an error image that will not allow me to select multiple until I refresh the page. I can select multiple one time before I get the error message again.I wouldn't care that much but we have over 600 items and selecting one at a time is tedious and time consuming. Just trying to see if there are better solutions! Hello!  I was wondering if I can run something by someone: I have two filters in a trigger campaign Trigger: Fills out <form>Regular filter: Person was created This means that the campaign will run if the person was created by that specific form fill right? Just curious because I am looking through the log and it seems like it pulled a small handful of people who weren't created by had filled out the form.

Hi Everyone,   We are experiencing a sync issue between Salesforce and Marketo and could really use a hand a) getting confirmation that others experience this and b) getting some direction on how to implement a way around it.   Fundamentally we believe this is a race condition between the Marketo and Salesforce 5 minute core sync.   What we observe ------ A Lead record is initially created in Salesforce as a Lead. The Sync then picks up this lead and brings it into Marketo, triggering “Person Is Created” and our lifecycle logic picks up and starts to execute various campaigns.   While this is occurring in Marketo, back in Salesforce, the end user then converts the lead into a Contact record.  Now’s the interesting part.    Depending on when in the random 5 minute interval this whole scenario plays out this can cause a race condition. If the Lead was created toward the end of the sync’s interval, then the converted Contact get’s sync’d into Marketo.&nb

Hi,Looking for best practices and recommendations/tips etc. to manage race conditions between Marketo and SF. Here's what we are facing. Sometimes during lead conversions, I see the status of 'Converted' on the converted lead written into Marketo which then syncs this value on the Contact record on SF overwriting the actual status (for some reason we have 'Converted' as a lifecycle stage). We now end up with Contact records with the status 'Converted'. I see similar issues when campaign members are created at the same time as lead conversion and getting associated with the converted lead rather than the contact record. What's the best way to handle this? Does it make sense to have a delay between lead creation and conversion? Curious if anyone here has also faced these issues and how you handled them. I've been trying to figure out why my token containing velocity script is prompting an error message in my email when attemptimg to "Approve and Close". The script within the token is supposed to take the first Name token reference and Capitalize the name using the following script:#set($firstName = $lead.FirstName) #set($formattedFirstName = $firstName.toLowerCase().substring(0,1).toUpperCase() + $firstName.toLowerCase().substring(1)) ${formattedFirstName}No matter how I try to implement the script, wheather directly into the email (breaking it from the template) or applying the script to a custom token. Does anyone have any input into why this is happening?

After Email 1 was delivered and the campaign was aborted, we’re now looking to resume the same campaign to send the remaining emails. However, using “Run Now” doesn’t seem to restart the campaign from where it left off. Is there a way to configure it so that the campaign continues from the point where it was stopped?

HelloI am trying to add line breaks to SMS messages.We’ve had a bespoke solution created to send SMS messages.On the Marketo end, it is a webhook that sends the information to another platform. All internal systems/platforms.The SMS values to send can be held in a Token on the program or a Person Field.  2 different webhooks have been set up that can use one or other.Can anyone tell me if there is a way to add a line break, to the SMS messages?I have tried using some HTML in the message, I have tried creating tokens with code. These have not worked.I have created a token that just has spaces in, this works to some extent, but as phones can be different sizes I don’t think it will look professional.Thank you in advance if anyone has a solution.

Two upcoming deprecations may impact your integration with Marketo Engage and may require action.    The Marketo Engage SOAP API will be fully deprecated on January 31st 2026.  Please review if you are still using the SOAP API in one or more of your Marketo subscriptions. To avoid disruptions of service, you will need to retire or migrate any services using the SOAP API to the Marketo Engage REST API by January 31st 2026.  Consult the Migration Guide for further information.  Marketo Engage Support is only able to provide the IP address of requests made to the SOAP API.   On January 31st 2026, the Marketo Engage REST API will no longer accept access tokens for authentication and authorization via the ‘access_token’ query parameter.  Please check if one or more of your integrations uses this parameter to authenticate.  To avoid disruptions of service, any services using this parameter to authenticate will need to migrate to using header-based auth

Hello, I'm not sure if I posted this in the right discussion forum but I am looking to use a velocity token in my CTA urls to append UTMs. The issue I am facing is the mkt_tok value appending prior to the token values and then the entire velocity script appends at the end. The reason behind using the velocity token is a request and we have dual layer segmentation in the emails but need this third layer via velocity to indicate where the user clicked, what region, which product  etc. The velocity token looks at a product tag and a region segmentation membership. Mostly just wondering if anyone can help me understand why the mkt_tok is appearing before the velocity token and why the velocity token isn't running. It works in previewing the email in marketo but not in my inbox. HTML for CTA <a class="whiteText" href="https://www.example.com/fh/files/misc/example.pdf{{my.utm_string}}" target="_blank" style="font-family: 'Arial','Noto Sans JP',Arial

We’re in the process of importing MLS data into Marketo for contacts already in our database—things like listing addresses, statuses (just sold/just listed), pricing, etc. One of the data points we could include is a direct image link (hosted externally) for each property.Has anyone used image URLs as a custom field in Marketo before?If so:Can we reference that image URL in an email and have it display properly?Are there any best practices for dealing with variable image sizes or load times?Any gotchas we should be aware of when using this approach in dynamic content?Would love to hear if this is a viable path and how others have handled it.Thanks!

For years, we’ve leaned heavily and happily on AWS Lambda to stretch Marketo into other realms.   A simple Lambda lets you integrate with, say, event platforms, transforming their generic outbound webhooks to valid inbound Marketo API calls. Especially cool are “loopback integrations”: a Marketo webhook calls a Lambda that swoops back in to call the Marketo API, allowing juiced-up flows of all sorts.   Serverless architectures pioneered by AWS are perfect when a service doesn’t need to run hot 24/7 but must still be available and scalable 24/7, i.e. when a second of spin-up time after idling or increased load isn’t a problem.[1]   But the dynamic spin-down/spin-up comes with undocumented risks. One rears its head with newer (but not older!) versions of NodeJS Lambdas.
