No, M3 is not a thing.  However, Adobe has recently released Adobe Commerce Optimizer and another product Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service. Both are ground up new technologies and “might” be considered version 3, but it has never been called that.

I am not too sure what the Magento Open Source community has in store. There has been rumors for years of a new forks but I dont know if any of them have completely re-vamped to be considered a brand new v3.

If and when you experiment with Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service it is completely different than before. There are many tutorials/docs and papers on this so I wont try to summarize them, just head over to Experience League and search - or ChatGPT, etc.

I hope this helps.

Hi @artashesbaghdasaryan

“Magento 3” is not an official Adobe product. There is no announced Magento 3 / Adobe Commerce 3 in the official roadmap or release notes; Adobe continues to evolve Adobe Commerce 2.x and Magento Open Source 2.x with new features, SaaS services, and PHP/platform upgrades. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/commerce-operations/release/notes/magento-open-source/overview

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/events/adobe-commerce-webinars/overview

The real “next‑gen” directions are:

If you are on Magento 2, the realistic preparation path is:

  • stay current with 2.4.x releases and PHP versions,
  • learn the SaaS/Cloud services and App Builder extensibility model, not to wait for a “Magento 3” rewrite.

Thanks,
Amit
