Segments of App users to GoogleAds not populating

I have set up the Google Ads url destination (documentation below)

It is working on my audiences of website visitors, (when i create a test segment of web users only and map it, it populates in Google Ads)

 

However it is not working for audiences of app users (those segments do not populate in Google Ads). 

 

I know that AAM module is present in App because those same app segments are populating in Meta business manager through the URL integration, I am just having a problem with sending my app segments to Google Ads. 

 

Is there any additional step I need for this to work? Like an ID sync, or something like that?

i got an answer to this in the end (for benefit of anyone searching this in future).. Google Ads pixel does not accept MAIDs. simple
