Onboarded file behaviour from two different data sources

Hi there,

We have daily and weekly files both pointing to the same DPID, but different data sources (108465 vs 108465).

ftp_dpm_98365_108464_timestamp.overwrite (weekly - Friday)

ftp_dpm_98365_108465_timestamp.overwrite (daily)

The two files have completely different & unique key-value pairs. Let's say if customer ID 123 exists in both files. I am wondering if the traits/key-value pairs for customer ID 123 will persist from both files, or only 108465 will persist because it's daily.

Thanks.

Hi @akwankl ,

Data within the same data source can be overwritten if the same key-value pairs are uploaded multiple times. However, since your daily and weekly files are associated with different data sources, the data from the daily file will not overwrite the data from the weekly file, and vice versa.

So, I think, the traits and key-value pairs for customer ID 123 will persist separately for both the daily (108465) and weekly (108464) data sources in AAM.
