AAM move traits error question.

Hello

 

I am trying to move 200 segments from one folder to another folder with different DataSource ID, but when I tried to do it, I receive an error message saying that another trait with the same name is in the new DataSource folder. Is there any way to move a trait with the same name but with different SID to the new DataSource where is already a trait with same name but different SID?

 

I am trying with the AAM UI and the BAAAM tool.

Hello,

 

We're unable to have duplicate (same expression) traits or segments assigned to the same data source. If you'd like to have multiple traits or segments with matching expressions, you'll need to keep them assigned to separate data sources.

 

Is there any reason you wouldn't want to use the already existing trait / segment in the target data source, over the one being moved?
