In all dates view we're able to edit nearly all dates In-Line on a project view (apart from projected dates as obviously they are calculated automatically). But for some reason it doesn't let me to In-Line edit Commit Date.
anyone know the reason for it ?

If I'm not mistaken, Commit Date is generated by the Assignee (the Assignee goes into the Task and chooses the date they think they will have it done by) and thus a PM can't edit it. Our organization ignore Commit and Projected altogether and works entirely off the Planned Date so the PM can have that control.
That what i was thinking. I thought tho they might be a way to do it. You would think tho if an assignee got it in a project view, he should be able to do it with In-line Editing option.
