Easy View for Over Allocation

Avatar

Hello, Is there an easy way to see task/resource conflicts in the same way MS project does? If not, what is the easiest way? See example below: When you hover over the "red man" you get a note to say the task has over-allocation of resources. Thanks Jack Jack Kirkland Berkeley Group

You can see this through the 'People' tab. Either 'People', 'Planning', 'Resource Planning' if you have the appropriate permissions. Here an exclamation mark at the top indicates over-allocation during the period, and then the red highlights show who is over-allocated. You can filter (and save the filter) on the left to a particular team/group/role/resource pool etc., and turn on the graphing use the graph icon in the top right corner (cropped from this image) Or you can go to 'People', 'Teams', 'Working on' to show individual assigned hour per day (totals are red if they are over the user's FTE): Note that a similar view is available within a project (showing only the project team) by clicking on 'Staffing', 'scheduling'. 'Staffing' is under the 'more' menu of a project by default if your admin hasn't modified the layout template. You can find a good summary of these options at https://experience.workfront.com/s/article/Overview-of-Workfront-Scheduling-Areas-and-Functionality-... Barry Buchanan - WMA Work Management Australia

The nice thing in the 'team' bar chart in Barry's first image, is that even if someone on the team is overallocated, you can see if the team overall still has bandwidth. Katherine Haven, PMP VP, Director, Business Technologies - PMO FCB
