Copy Task Improvement

It would be great if you could select a task in the task view of a project and copy it to the line above or below just as you can now insert a new task. The existing copy functionality is great when copying to another project, but extremely cumbersome within the same project.

Agreed, this would be a very beneficial improvement.

I'd also ask that an option appears during the copy process that allows the user to clear custom form data and even to add or remove additional custom forms without having to immediately fill in required fields.

We have tasks with custom forms that will always have unique data so copying that information causes problems when it looks like it's all filled in (and it is, just with the wrong data because it was copied onto the new task). The project owners who are ensuring the form is attached are not the same users that actually need to fill in the form and generally won't have that information so it's a roadblock to them if the fields remain required during a copy&paste.

This is especially true as the wizard interface for selecting a parent task has no hierarchy. It is nearly impossible to find where to put a task using the current interface.

I would also like the "Clear all predecessors" checkbox to be unchecked by default. I copy many sets of tasks (parent with children) and have to remember to uncheck that box or the dependencies are lost. I've had a new PM literally have to re-do hundreds of tasks because she forgot to uncheck the box. Not sure why it is checked as a default in the first place.

That would be very useful for us because we have tasks throughout our timelines that are assigned to the same users multiple times.
