For clarification, this is Delivered in the Canvas Dashboards presentation of a dashboard. When report that has a description is placed on a Canvas Dashboard, users will see the info icon to the right of the report name and can view the description.

We plan on providing a dashboard delivery option for the Canvas Dashboard dashboarding capabilities. 

This is being addressed through the Canvas Dashboards reporting surface and is available now.Both classic reports placed on a Canvas Dashboard as well as new canvas-based visualizations will have an information icon to the right of the report name to display the report description.
