When managing stories on an Agile Kanban board and moving a story from one status to the next in a sequence, we need the ability to drop the story in the next status at a certain location within the list of stories. Current functionality is for the story to retain it's comparative position that it h...

  • I've had this problem regularly, especially when new people are added to the organization and don't understand or appreciate the need. I employ a "Use A Carrot as a Stick If I Must" approach and have found it to be successful. As mentioned, human nature being what it is, people resist doing work t...

This is huge for us. Not being able to use custom status is considered a significant limitation and prevents widespread adaption of Agile in Workfront.

  • Thanks for your response. I am not sure if this solution will work in this scenario because we need to assign the issue to the person who submitted it and not to a default or standard user defined in advance. Thanks, though, for your great explanation. Vern Phipps Zions Bancorp

  • Thanks for your response. I was hoping that there was some clever thing to do that I was not aware of. We'll just have to train the submitter to enter their name in the Assigned To. Vern Phipps Zions Bancorp

  • We have a need to add some new functionality to our existing Workfront help desk queue process. Some users work on small, self-directed tasks that are currently being done outside of Workfront. The work may not be directly associated with a project or service or are considered too small. [i.e., some...

We really need this. We have a large number of tasks that are identical at the lowest, root level (e.g., Move Change). The root tasks are differentiated by the name of the Parent Task. I can add the Parent Task Name to the data at the right but the user has to now scroll through multiple tasks to fi...

Yes, this is a weird design and one has to wonder what the discussion was in the design meeting where this approach was determined. Among many other problems, the message implies that the administrator has options. Another message could be, "Your administrator is required by corporate policy to not ...

I'm constantly responding to questions from users about why something in a view is missing. Eventually they get used to it and remember they have to change the value to All. This really needs to be a system setting.

It seems that one viable design would be to allow this to be set as an option in the Updates Feed area in Setup. So, those who would like to see it can and those who don't won't.
