Deleting a profile in RT-CDP

Avatar

Level 2

I have few profiles which do not exist in my CRM and I want them to go-away from RT-CDP as well.
What are my options? I do not see a delete option by UI or API anywhere. Can this be by-passed and-or if there is any workaround for it ?

I struggle with this too.

My knowledge so far:

There is no official way to delete particular profiles.

I could think of the following options:

  1. try via https://privacyui.cloud.adobe.io/
  2. Identify the batch(es) in the dataset(s) and delete it (sounds not practical)
  3. copy all datasets to new datasets without the particular profiles and delete the old datasets afterwards (weird)
  4. mark those profiles as deleted (with a custom XDM field) and wipe PII by ingesting dummy data to this identity.

Happy to hear the opinion of the AEP experts.
