Using multiple audiences for a single experience in Target

Avatar

Hello,

I would like to create an A/B test where users from different countries are shown either a control or a country specific version of a web page. Is it possible to connect a specific audience to a single page in an A/B test?

This article seems to almost have the answer, but doesn't contain any information about the connection. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/activities/abtest/create/target-experience-to-m...

Thank you,

Dorothy

Hi @dot1122,

In step 3 you will see Experience A and Experience B. Both contain US Dollar and UK Pound.

Here you can, for example, leave all default content in Experience A - if this is considered a control group.

It is also recommended here that the US Dollar Audience and UK Pound Audience differ from each other.

If a user enters Experience B and is shown the US Dollar Audience on the US page, they will see this content accordingly. This user could now also switch to the UK page and is not reassigned to Experience A or B. Instead, he remains in Experience B - and then sees the UK Pound content.

Hi @dot1122

In the example - ins the picture - you can see Experience A, Experience B, Experience C on the left. Here you can use Experience A as default content. You can then use Experience B for your test by displaying something else here. In the second column next to it - you can now create several audiences different for countries here. You can then customize these individually.

Hope this helps you.

Best regards

Thank you for your response Perrin!
How do you assign an different audience to each experience. Is the experience audience next to it the one that is going to be shown? For example in the step 3 image, does that set up mean that Experience A will only see the US Dollar Experience and Experience B will only see the UK Pound Experience?

Also if you identify a control and Variation 1 and Variation 2. Will the audience associated with variation 1 see both the control and variation 1? How do you set up that split in the target section?
