get rid of trailing spaces before a floating field

I want to position a floating field in the text by using a tab. Everytime I save the form and re-open it, Designer puts in 1 or more spaces behind the tab and before the floating field, so i can never get the field positioned in the way I want it. Can somebody explain how I can get rid of these trailing spaces forever?

There are probably hidden "white-space" chatacters in your text object. One way to chack for thsi is to highlight the text in the text objext by double-clicking on the text. If you now see white-space characters trailing, simply remove them.

Another way, is to review the XML Source (recommended for advanced users only) and directly edit the <exData> element contents.
