Error with MySQL Connection

Hi there,

I'm doing a LC install on Red Hat.  All settings look as they should, but for some reason jboss is rejecting the connection to IDP

This is the error in the server log.

15:39:08,077 ERROR [LogInterceptor] EJBException in method: public abstract java.util.Map com.adobe.idp.config.PreferencesSPI.getSys
temRoot() throws com.adobe.idp.common.errors.exception.IDPException,com.adobe.idp.common.errors.exception.IDPSystemException:
com.adobe.idp.common.errors.exception.IDPSystemException: nullorigin: | [com.adobe.idp.storeprovider.database.DBDatasourceFactory] e
rrorCode:8193 errorCodeHEX:0x2001 message:Failed lookup for YOUR DS, named: java:java:comp/env/jdbc/idpDSjava:comp not bound
        at com.adobe.idp.config.PreferencesBean.getSystemRoot(PreferencesBean.java:93)

We have checked thoroughly the setup xmls, the MySQL database and the permissions on those files.

Strangley enough - if we delete the idp setup xml, we get the same error.  Is there some reason why jboss wouldn't see it?

Full log attached

Solved.

We missed Step 7, on page 53 of the "Preparing to install" document (Configuring the MySQL Datasource).

The lesson:  DON'T install Livecycle servers at 4pm on a Friday afternoon (when you're tired)
