dropdown list from database

   hi,

i have just started to use the Livecycle, and i am still trying to learn.

i wonder if it is possible to retrieve some data from an sql db and adapt them into a dropdown list by some server-side Javascript coding.

i tried to do that. but i couldn't proceed because i got an error saying "Script failed........Error : ActiveXObject does not have a constructor."

could anyone tell me the reason i got this error and the solution?
