I'm sorry if this question has been posted before. Have searched the forums with out finding anything.
Is it possible to launch other programs like word or excel directly from a pdf dynamic document created in LiveCycle? In case we will need an extension of the Adobe Acrobat Prof. product, please tell us what we will be needing? Below follow an example showing the problem. If we change the document kravhaandtering.doc to a pdf-document it works fine:
When I use following javascript (exit or click event on a object) I got an unknown format message in a message box;
xfa.host.gotoURL("file:///I:/bragemo/kravhaandtering.doc");
The file Im about to open has the doc extension. When I try to open a pdf file it works fine. Any idea if it is possible to open a word document or other file formats in an easy way? Is this a restriction in Live Cycle or in Adobe? Are there any setting in Adobe Reader we have to change (i.e. security setting)?
Looking forward for good ideas.
