Unable to edit pages in Author instance

Hi,

Good evening.!

We have 2 ways to edit our AEM pages,

1. Through IP address URL

2. Through load balancer URL which is configured in Dispatcher.

We are Unable to edit any page inside load balancer Author instance URL, however, we are able to edit same pages in IP tunneled URL.

We couldn't able to understand why we are not even seeing "Toggle side panel" to see Content tree, Assets and components.

Can anyone help us to resolve this issue. Nothing we have modified , suddenly this issue started.

Thanks,

Hi @Aj_9625932

Through IP address URL: I think you are using some username, password. right? This might has higher permission (i mean admin or content author permission)

For the dispatcher URL,  are you using any username, password? or by using SSO?

In this case, your email ID or the user group does not have right permission.

Ask Dev ops person to verify dev-author-URL:4502/useradmin

check the permission given to your user group.

Check in browser console if requests for common URLs for authoring experience are getting blocked. If you are using a dispatcher, chances are requests are being blocked at that layer.

Hi @Aj_9625932

  1. Check if the load balancer URL is correctly configured in the Dispatcher. Make sure that the Dispatcher is configured to route requests to the correct Author instance.

  2. Check if the load balancer URL is accessible from your network. Try accessing the load balancer URL directly from your browser and see if you are able to access the AEM instance.

  3. Check if there are any errors in the browser console. Open the browser console and see if there are any errors related to loading the AEM editor.

  4. Check if the AEM editor is enabled for the load balancer URL. Make sure that the wcmmode=edit parameter is present in the URL when you try to access the AEM editor.

  5. Check if there are any issues with the SSL certificate. If the load balancer URL is using SSL, make sure that the SSL certificate is valid and trusted by your browser.

We are unable to view the below in load balancer URL

https://author-XXXX-qa.adobecqms.net/libs/wcm/core/content/components.1705548425647.json

But the same is loading fine in IP URL.

https://localhost:8004/libs/wcm/core/content/components.1705548425647.json

Console error for the page which we are trying to edit in Author.

Could you please help us what we have to check exactly.!

FYI,

Attached console error screenshot.
