ok I would check with your Adobe support as it may be possible for a user to ask Adobe for just one key KPI to allow it to exceed that limit. Its not allowed for multiple items but I have seen one offs.
Our organisation has 5 brands and operates in 15 markets (all with their own website). The way we got round this was that a couple of years ago we did a well thought out re implementation.
We now use one report suite with an evar for the brand and site, which gives us the same as above. the only downside is that all markets are now converted into one currency, which is done via our tag manager.
I'm curious, how did you handle the limitations of the variables? Did you not exceed that limit? Typically URLs and transaction ids tend to exceed that limit.
Well as I say it was a re implementation as we were building a new e-commerce platform. What really helps is that there are only 2 real platforms (so there are quite a lot of reused variables (discount codes etc)) but all our future development is done on one platform what may or may not be used by each site depending on how it is configured.
Also, when we "started over" - you would not believe the number of events / props / evars that are not ever used. I found 90 events that weren't even populating!
As far as updates go - we have a functional prototype and have done extensive user testing to validate the experience. We are working on prioritizing it on the roadmap so we can get it to you as quickly as we can. We know this one is important.
Its good to know that supporting multiple reporting suites along with feature of adding similar metrics from different RS is part of roadmap. Do we know the ETA for the same ?
I wish we could offer an ETA at this point, but we can't - we are still prioritizing things and working through them and things are always changing (because there are always so many good things to work on). I know that's not the answer you were seeking, but just know we are working on it
