Turn off automatic proof generation

Is there a way to stop Workfront from generating a proof automatically? I was sure there was a setting for that somewhere but can't find it in Workfront settings or within Workfront Proof. Chris Watson KVH Industries, Inc.

You can do this person-by-person, if you are a system admin, by editing their user settings. (if you wanted to do this for multiple people, you would select multiple users, and bulk edit their accounts) -skye

Hi Skye, Thanks. When you said that, I realized that I hadn't been looking in the Workfront user settings. I'd been looking in the Workfront Proof user settings. It's actually in the Workfront user settings just below where you assign the Proof license. Chris Chris Watson KVH Industries, Inc.

it's pretty confusing having two sets of user settings. :-) I don't even remember about the Proof user settings half the time. Can I ask why you're switching off automatic proof generation? We've been struggling a little bit since the new release, and I'm wondering if I need to consider switching it off as well. -skye

Hi Chris, you can turn it off by going to your "my setting" and you see there is a check box for "Automatically generate proof" setting. see my screenshot. Hope this helps. thanks Maggie Maggie Talierco Olympus Corporation of The Americas

Hi Skye, We also turned off automatic proof generation. Our project requestors, editors, and designers often attach content to share with the rest of the team and we don't want those made into proofs.
