Survey: Document Comments in Update Feed

Hey everyone, I'm looking for feedback on a feature request that we are working on implementing. A popular item from the Idea Exchange is to show Document Comments on the associated object's (Project, Task, Issue, etc.) Update feed. It's been very mixed reviews, just like the comments on the idea exchange. Our plan right now is to release it without Proof comments. We can then gauge usability and feedback and pivot if needed. Josh Hardman Product Manager, Workfront

So this looks to be live - I might have missed it in a release announcement. Before informing our users - any idea if Proof comments will eventually be incorporated, or, if we have the ability to turn on/off their inclusion?

We've announced this recent update on Monday that updates will show without proof comments included. I notice yesterday that now proof comments ARE showing in the document feed. Is there a way to group these somehow or enable/disable documents OR proof comments? I really liked it with just document updates. If proof updates must be on, perhaps we can have all the proof comments made in that instance to a document grouped together?

Proof comments have always shown up in the Document's Updates tab. This is not new behavior. Proof comments are currently not showing up in other Updates tabs (like at the Issue, Task or Project level). The new behavior is that other Document updates that are not Proof comments show up at the Issue, Task and Project levels. -skye

Hi Skye, This thread is about document updates showing in the full project feed's 'update' tab. (without going to the documents section). Earlier this week, in the project update feed it was standard comments + the (new) feature of document comments in the project update feed. Now, it's standard comments + (new) feature of document comments + (new) feature of proof comments. I'd share a screenshot but I'm stuck at the moment being unable to load to the WF community.

Skye is right, it should not be showing Proof comments on the Project updates tab. If you are seeing this Christina, that's definitely an issue. Josh Hardman Product Manager, Workfront

Hi, Josh. Apologies for replying to a year-old thread. We are in the Classic environment and I cannot see a way to view Document Updates on the Project Updates tab. Do we have to switch to the New Experience for this to work, or am I just missing it?

Thank you both. We were in a meeting yesterday with our management team and witnessed it. That being said, I'm trying to locate an example today and now it is not showing again. I'm going to cross my fingers that it stays that way and let you know if I come across it again.

Please do not add proof comments unless you're planning to add more toggle filters. The updates page gets so cluttered as it is and - while nice in some ways - got even more cluttered with document notes. Jazmin Allen-Collins Analog Devices, Inc.
