Set the Project Actual Start Date?

Hi: We have a project with a strange Project Actual Start Date. I think that is because we copied a project to start a new project, and the Project Actual Start date came over. Now we have a new project that ACTUALLY started on June 12, but it has the original project's Actual Start date of April 12. How do I reset the Actual Start date to something accurate? Thanks! Eric

From what I can tell I think that you can not directly change the actual start date of a project. However I believe that the actual start date for the project is the same as the earliest actual start date in any of its tasks. I played around with it a bit and the actual start date for the project changes if you change the actual start dates at the task level. So for your case I would suggest changing the tasks in the project so the earliest task start date is June 12. Let me know if this helps.
