Revised Date Option

Hello All - I'm trying to find a date field that I can manually enter for a "revised start date". I am using the Planned start date as the original dates and the Actual Start Dates as the actual date the task started. However, the vendor I'm working with had some delays and provided revised timelines. They do not have direct access to Workfront so I need to be able to manually enter those dates in to keep track of missed revised dates. Projected and Estimated are automatically calculated and commit I cannot manually change since I'm the project owner.... HELP! Monica Miyasato USE Credit Union

Hi Monica, Assuming your Project is Planned from Start Date, in Easiest Order, I'd suggest you either: if no Task has yet started when you hear of the delay from your vendor, updating the Planned Start Date of the first Task will then drive the Project's Start Date, or if some Tasks have already started, update the Planned Start Date of the Task(s) affected by the Vendor's Delay (using either "Must Start On" or "Start No Earlier Than" "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/217297147-Task-Constraint-Overview">Task Constraints ), which -- if your dependencies to subsequent Tasks are all in place -- will then push the Projected Start Dates for the latter "out", accordingly; and for ASAP Tasks, will also push their Planned Dates out when you "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/217240367-Recalculating-Timelines-for-Projects">Recalculate Timeline on the Project If such adjustments are common, it might also be advantageous to take a "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/216674618-Creating-Baselines">Baseline of the Project first (for comparative purposes), either manually, or in a more automated fashion using our "http://store.atappstore.com/product/create-baselines/">Create Baselines solution.
