What field do I use to report on Budget Cost that results from the new Resource Budgeting in a project Business Case? Its the highlighted value (below) shown in the Business Case Summary. David Allingham Project Manager Reed Tech®, a LexisNexis® Company dallingham@reedtech.com

That's a good point. Looks like there's a Budgeted Cost and a Legacy Budgeted Cost field, but they're both presenting the data from Legacy Budgeted Cost field from the Business Case. May be a bug. Hi both, Budgeted Cost calculate number with using Budgeted Labour Cost from Resource Budgeting WHEN Legacy Budgeted Cost pulls that information from Legacy Budgeted Labour Cost (Resource Estimates) And of course they both add to that Budgeted Expense Cost. So yes, they can look different at the moment. Dagmara Garwell BAKKAVOR LTD

I am attempting to move from Legacy Resource Estimates to Resource budgeting. I've created a report to list both resulting budgets so I could track my progress. But I cannot find a field that displays the new Budgeted Cost. I even checked 2018 2 beta in preview and I still can't find a field that reports the new Budgeted Cost. Another thing: Even though I duplicate the estimates in hours the resulting costs are different by a couple dollars and cents. David Allingham Project Manager Reed Tech®, a LexisNexis® Company

Hi Dagmara, Thanks. Yeah I understand they look different. My point was when you try to expose that field in a report or view, they show the same value for both the Budgeted Cost and the Legacy Budgeted Cost. So there doesn't appear to be a way to display that new Budgeted Cost (other than looking in the Business Case). Let me know if you can find the field name that displays that field, I can't find one. So I think there's a bug. I submitted a ticket on this issue. I will provide an update (resolved or not) David Allingham Reed Technology and Information Services Inc.

Here is the reply from the ticket I submitted: "At this time, you cannot display the Budgeted Cost field in a report. However, you can display the Legacy Budgeted Cost in a project report. The column field is 'Legacy Budgeted Cost'. As we continue to add functionality to the new resource planning, I am sure this will be added. There is no timeframe currently available." So, this lack of functionality does not help encourage anyone to migrate to the new resource planning. David Allingham Reed Technology and Information Services Inc.

Boooooooo. That's poor. The field is obviously already created (it appears on the Business Case). It's a flaw that it can't be displayed.
