Parent Task Duration Showing in Hours Instead of Days

Avatar

Level 2

I am having an issue with Parent Task Durations. They are currently showing in hours and I cannot figure out how to change them. I have no desire to see that a phase of my project is 1135 hours...but would love to see how many days it is! Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

Parent Tasks duration units can be changed by simply type 0d in the duration field to change it to days. Since the duration is a rollup, this will not affect the calculation, only change the unit.

Hello Marty,

I have more than 100 child tasks showing duration in hours. These tasks were imported from MS Project.

Do you have any trick up your sleeve to convert duration to days in bulk?

Since the project is already in progress I can't delete them and reupload.

When I use the "0d" recalculation trick, it reverts back to the number with the decimal point, not a whole number.

Slick trick! Thanks Marty -- duly noted!
