Need Advice on Configuration for Resource Planning

Avatar

Hi all, my agency is taking another step in our Workfront adoption, specifically in regards to resourcing. We have a somewhat unique use case in that we have a number of agencies sharing one instance with some teams servicing more than one agency (ex- we have on Editorial team shared by two agencies, the other agencies have their own Editorial departments). Any advice on how to configure groups and resource pools to allow us to look at capacity for a single agency at a time as well as the organization as a whole? Hi Anthony, I'd just make sure that you have resource pools with resources managers for each agency. Then, you'll want to make sure the resource pools and resource managers are set on the projects where the users will be assigned work on tasks or issues. This will give you the ability to view the resource planner and apply a variety of filters. Groups aren't really relevant as far as I can tell. Be sure to have a look at the AtAppStore's ""http://store.atappstore.com/product/capacity-charting/">Capacity Charts " product. Use of this could benefit from a group hierarchy.
