Locking files within the Documents tab

Does anyone know of a way to lock files in the documents tab? I want to restrict the ability to download/replace files uploaded to a certain task. We want these files to remain in this step for records reasons but we do not want anyone but the uploader to be able to download the files. Suggestions are needed! =] Thank you! 1. Is there a way to lock individual documents? 2. Is there a way to lock a folder of files that only admins can download? FYI - I only need this lock option for certain files in certain steps so it would have to be individually applied to each document/folder. Martina Schatzman Integra LifeSciences

Hi Martina, You need to look at document sharing permissions. This is the way to determine what access individuals have to specific documents. Documents will normally inherit their permissions structure from the object to which they are attached (issue, task, or project). It sounds like you will need to adjust the sharing on the documents that you wish to secure.
