Stephanie, We have a number of portfolios aligned to businesses within the group and the business prioritise all IT projects within those portfolios using the the portfolio optimisation functionality. This is revised with each business regularly and this priority drives what the IT team work on and deliver against. Regards Ken

We use workfront for project intake, prioritization, and funding decisions. We look at the project portfolio regularly against budget (effort by role as well as cost) and will shuffle / drop projects mid-year if the situation calls for it. We also use Workfront for tracking operations work along the same lines.

I wish we used it for prioritizing, but this is advertising and we just say yes to every project the client wants. ;) However, we do use the tool for resource planning to see if we need to bring in freelancers or ask another business unit for help to ensure that the project finishes on time.

Yes! viat he Reports, in 2016 we're doing the best yet reporting on current workload and resource balacning; so the methoed is that each projecdt has a speciric Group designation ;and the groups belong to 2 main business types.....DiY or DiFM (e.g. Consumer or Commerical) and then breaking down each into 3 parts of digital, print or both....we can then slice and dice our data in a myrida of ways to see where we need more or fewer resources, or even projects; pending what the buisness need is currently / overall company YtD goals.
