I am trying to verify some functionality and see if there is any work around. I have assigned a task to two users. One of those users is on time off. The system is putting the time on the user who is available and ignoring the one with the time off.
I would like it to consider both users and put the task on each one per their availability.

I believe I am understanding that what I need is not possible on 1 task. I need the system to consider both assignees (both have to do the work. it is not an if/then scenario) and assign it to both of them per their availability. I believe my solution is to make 2 tasks or simply push the task to the time off
Hi there, do you perhaps have your instance looking at the schedule of the primary assignee or of the project? The one with time off in your example may be the primary assignee. So you could change who is the primary or change your settings to look at project schedule instead (but if you're wanting to 'consider user time off in task durations' then you'd want to keep it with the user schedule I assume). See in setup > project preferences > projects:
Appreciate the response but yes as you said, I want to keep it on user as I want the time off to be considered. I was hoping to get it to ignore primary. For it to consider each assignee as both assignees need to do the task for it to continue.
I think this is not possible so I am exploring work arounds.

Thanks for checking! Apologies I was away from the office. This response was not what I needed. I don't think what I am looking for is possible.

Thanks for following up @andreadmw , I will go ahead and mark your prior response as the solution then. Hopefully this will be helpful to anyone who has a similar question in the future!
