Did you tasks view inside Projects change with latest update?

All, With this latest update - our tasks view inside of the project changed - in that the font is smaller, the screen is wider - we can see all columns as we could before - but i guess it is the tiny font that is causing heartburn for everyone. Is there a way to make this configurable for each user - or configurable at a system level? Thanks. Benetta Perry APS

Having to use TEXT MODE to adjust permanently is not a practical fix IMO. The jumpiness has affected our PM team too. Hope they fix that soon. Anyone started an Idea Exchange on these issues? I'm happy to upvote and comment... Lori Meek

Our team is experiencing the "jumpiness" issue too. It's frustrating and really slows down speed of work. I'm hoping someone will look into it. Meniesa Brown Purchasing

I gave feed back on the screen as that is the area they concentrate on first for a new version rollout fix. Samantha Senior Specialist, Creative Services 817-424-2186

We have had a ton of problems with the jumpiness as you scroll down the tasks of a project -- the tasks load really slow so there's just half a page of white space at times before certain tasks even show up and it even sometimes skips back so certain tasks never show up. In addition, we really don't like how the top section with all of the project information (name of project, tabs to get to "Updates", "Project Info" and the Edit project + Project Actions links completely disappear making me need to scroll all the way up to the top to get to this information. Overall, it's really clunky, buggy and I'm not even sure what problem it was supposed to fix. I'd really appreciate an option to revert back to the old view (which was working quite fine for us) because it's really causing a lot of frustration throughout our team right now.

I agree, it's totally slowing me down. What's the old saying "Don't fix it if it ain't broke"! Diana Warren True Value Company

It has now officially been a week with 19.1 and all eight of our PMs have come by my desk at their wits' end dealing with task lists throughout the week. They are so frustrated, they can't even verbalize all that is wrong with the new task list functionality. Most of them have also given multiple ALL CAPS submissions using the Give Feedback button. Beyond the jumpy scrolling (which I can't even imagine any human in the world having the patience to deal with ALL DAY LONG but I understand is being addressed by WF soon). The screen cap is from working on a laptop on a small project -- one where there are so few tasks, the screen NEVER expands -- you have to work in the little 1.5" window to manage the project:

It is virtually impossible to work on a laptop due to limited screen size (one PM had to launch a project while working remotely and literallly had to give up -- job not launched! People not working on it! Deadlines not being met!)

Having to horizontal scroll is now a standard (see 2 in screen cap) -- just about the worst user experience.

Mind-boggling column width defaults -- lots of data = teeny column / teeny data = gigantic column. See 1.

Having to use a mouse to resize columns... regularly/daily? Waste of time.

Strangely, still so much wasted space! See 4.

Just... what? See 3 in screen cap.

We as admins just don't have the capacity to field all of their feedback and complaints and try to come up with workarounds and less than perfect solutions.

I had this screenshot sent to me by a PM on a laptop last week - I was genuinely shocked how little of the plan she could see: Jamie Hill JLL

Hi @Jamie Hill Just to add to your last comment, if a user has only a few tasks (maybe no more than 9) within their view the page does not expand to full sceen! Vicky Fitzgerald Telegraph Media Group Limited

Agree with everyone, this update is horrible! It's passable when working at my desk, although bothersome, but when trying to work on my laptop it's very difficult to move around the screen. I recommend everyone provide their feedback through the link above the task line. Hopefully they will fix this with enough complaints. Carrie Nunemaker Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts

Hey, everyone, I'd like to thank you all for the feedback and let you know that we're changing the scrolling experience and will release an improved version very soon. It will solve the screen jumping and internal scrolling problems. Thanks again and apologies for any inconveniences. Lilit Lilit Mkrtchyan Workfront
