One of our reviewers needs her approvals to be delegated to an intern. Though the delegation is activated, her colleague does not see the Approval request on her "My Updates" page. Am I doing something wrong ?

I would check the intern's access level - do they have the rights to approve tasks?
Also what are approvals are needed, timesheet approvals are not able to be delegated at the moment. Although I think WF are working on this.
