Dashboard Inline Edit Parent/Child Task Information

I am pulling in a custom notes column to take notes by task in a dashboard during a meeting. How this is setup (thanks to David on the forums) is that if this is a top level task (0 indent) then I pull in that tasks Notes, if it is indented past 1 I pull in the parent task notes. This is so I have all of the notes in one spot until all subtasks are complete. However, once I started pulling in parent task notes I can no longer edit that column in the dashboard. Is there a way to make this editable with parent task fields? Ryan Eide Amazon - ERMC

Ryan, Once you make it a formula (valueexpression) it prevents you from inline editing. Do you need to see the subtasks in the report? If you filter the report to pull in only the parent tasks you would be able to inline edit the custom field. Will that option work? Thanks! David DAVID A. TAYLOR SVP, Managed Services
